What happened to the Late Knights thing? Missed their beers on Saturday....also the outdoor bar is a welcome improvement but still a long queue that could be alleviated by simplifying the selection and a sign before the tent with the options? 300 people pausing to work out which of the ten craft beer cans they want doesn't really work too well. Great to see a win though!

I agree that improving information about beers/prices would help so that people can make a choice before getting to the front of the queue. There is a large blackboard behind the bar but it remains unused to date.

The bar was very busy on Saturday (they had to restock apparently) but I think the queue was caused in part by the fact that it was understaffed. This appears to be something the club is addressing (and for which they are paying London Living Wage):

The new outside bar is a great addition and a few minor teething problems are only to be expected. Sadly, no more home games until 19/11 - at least that provides time to recruit!

I spoke to man who knows a man in the Brick Brewery recently and he suggested that LK's head-brewer was going to be part of some "backed" enterprise. But not sure whether the LK brand will survive. He thought not.

Good news if it's being rescued.

That's sad to hear re. Late Knights but makes a visit to their still trading Beer Rebellion pubs in Peckham & Gipsy hill a must for me if it helps them out.

Back to the outdoor bar - definitely a positive addition. But give people too much choice and it takes longer for them to order and longer for bar staff to locate the cans. The choice they currently have is already much more than most pubs in the area and if people want to get fussy about it ...go to the pub instead! I reckon all it needs is 3 or 4 choices max. Perhaps a regular golden IPA, something dark plus a bog standard mass produced lager.

A choice of three priced to the nearest ? and perhaps contactless payment would help it tick nicely.

Last two home (Saturday) games the queue for the outside bar was very long - 15 minutes or so as you approach half time. On the positive side you can still watch most of the action until you actually get inside.

I agree - knowing the options before you approach the front would help a lot. It was a recurring conversation for all those ahead of me. They also managed to run out of Gamma Ray just as I was approaching the front each time, so a sign of what's available (a smaller selection) and what's still in stock should move things along nicely.

Also contains the "H" word.

A perfect case of 'lazy journalism'...load of nonsense really. When I spoke to him I told him I knew it would the usual 'crap stitch up job' (My name is Mishi Morath) and, surprise surprise...it was!

But I'm firmly in the 'all publicity is good publicity' camp..and you simply can't buy 'advertising' space like this.

You actually don't have to go to Wembley...

At 7.00pm, in the Club Boardroom, we are holding a small non-denominational wreath laying ceremony at the Club War Memorial. This will be following by the bar being open, where you can watch the England v. Scotland match on the televisions in our bar. Thus saving yourself lots of money, and not to far to travel home...

And don't forget...Saturday is our annual 'Pay What You Like' match, with all profit to be donated equally between our 2016/17 charity partners 'Football Beyond borders' & 'Dog Kennel Hill Adventure Playground'. Usual admission prices are ?10 for adults; ?4 concessions & Under 13s FREE.

Please feel free to spread the word among family & friends through whatever forms of social media, websites & forums you use.

    • OK, good suggestion and it appears that the after-market price is about £260. But if that that was fitted ex-factory then the cost would be substantially less and certainly a small fraction of the price of a high-end car.
