Laddy Muck, I've spoken with Jack Payne and other stewards, there response was "She's a bloody United fan, she can _____ right off" !! No, seriously, would love you to come on board-there is minimum requirement on attendance, the more the better but 1 a month is fine.

You don't get paid, just free entry (and a guest) and a drink post game.

Does mean standing for several hours-will your creaky old bones cope ??!!!

Anyway, if you would like to just come to the main entrance 45 mins or so before KO and Mike or me will show you the ropes and tell you the legals (if it kicks off, not up to stewards to get involved-we phone police)

DHFC can and will organise NVQ Level 2 in Stewarding-Free of charge.

This is not just for the LM but for anyone else too, 16 and over.

Many thanks, BR. :))

Buggar Bognor indeed. Still, no matter...Maidstone also lost (PHEW!)...which means DH are still top and leading by one point. Whoopee! DH need to up their game now if they want to retain automatic promotion (I don't think my heart could withstand another playoff final).

I believe part of the hospitality package is a guided tour of the ground and facilities by a beardy tattoo bloke...

Arthur Facksake (excellent name), I wasn't condemning anyone, singing is good, but other times I've been there it's been a mixture of singing and watching the match. Saturday just got annoying. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, whether they've got the time and money to follow the team to away matches or not.

I'm all for enjoying yourself and supporting your team, the point is that on Saturday you seemed to forget about supporting the team.

    • Let’s not all get scared of the foxes now. Most likely explanation is protecting its den or association with food. We have foxes, and cats and they are no bother to each other. The fox will leave when the cats are out.
    • I remember seeing something a few years ago on TV about a fox that was actually biting through people's shopping / takeaway food bags.  It was situated in an alleyway.  Not in London.  Very interesting in how the  urban foxes brain development has  been affected by their surroundings.   Not an exact quote from Darwin.  It's the adaptable that survive / not the strongest or the most intelligent.   I would be worried if a fox came close me.   Because they might be after my fur babies and they carry a lot of nasties.   Although they look beautiful from a distance or on a 🎄 card.
    • Driving down Lordship lane around 2.45pm today saw a v sick looking fox walking in and out of the crowd.
    • I know I'm a bit premature but don't want to forget through too much Chrisntas cheer! Southwark Council Christmas trees recycling arrangements 2025 - bit worrying for the future that they're emphasising the free bit. "We’ll collect and recycle your real Christmas tree for free!  Trees should not be taller than 5ft. You should chop any taller trees into smaller pieces. Remove all decorations and the pot or stand and recycle it by: putting your tree with your garden waste containers on collection day requesting a free collection if you do not have a garden waste collection  taking it to our Reuse and Recycling Centre [43 Devon Street, SE15 1AL open 08:30-16:30 Mon-Sun] If you live in a flat you must leave the tree: outside on the kerb visible for the collection crew not in a bin store" I'll add the link to the collection booking service when it opens on 22 December.
