Low/No water in ED (7/7/11)

If anyone else has woken up to find no water or very low water pressure - there is a major burst water main on Brixton Hill which is affecting water supplies (and traffic) across SE postcodes. They reckon at least 3-4 hours for a fix.

This has happened at least once a year every year I've lived in dulwich. There's a delicious irony (or something) in the fact one has to get the phone number for Thames Water off the back of your bill demanding outrageous payment for this service

Yes, thanks for letting us know - saved us a whole lot of bother with trying to increase water pressure and no doubt creating new problems, then ending up late for work etc etc

It will be interesting to see if fixing the main does anything to improve the recent,

early morning water pressure issues in ED. The guy I spoke to at Thames Water said it was likely there had been a small leak for some time, although the failure this am was apparently "a major failure".
