Glowing Lights in the Sky

Did anyone notice a string of glowing lights in the sky over Forest Hill last week at 5am? They were completely still and silent for about 10 minutes, then darted out of sight. Was I seeing things?

It was actually quite scarey - I don't believe we are being watched but...hey, I'm open!!

they are balloons with little orange lights suspended under. phew eh?

I saw these amazing red lights shoot from the ground at an incredible speed, and then turn orange, yellow and green before splitting up with a loud bang and flying off in different directions before dying.

It fair put the wind up me, I can tell you.

But then I am a dog.

We saw those lights and were quite freaked out! About 7 of them - slow moving and then just faded. So what were they?

Probably chinese lanterns, usually after a wedding.

I put up some youtube footage on here somewhere a few months back after a similar discussion.
