Just tried to go for a rare drink on Lordship Lane as the kids are at their Grannies and found half a dozen people looking out down towards the Parmerston. the co-op has definitely had its window smashed in and the Parmeston looks damaged too, Two police have just turned up..apparently some lads had been running up the street with balaclavas on.....in East Dulwich.

The Post Office's alarm is ringing. Friends of ours were at Le Chardon were at dinner this evening. They were told to eat their food rather quickly becuase the owner said 'Large gangs of youth are running up and down..we want to bring the shutters down.

And they were still on the 2nd course only

I do not really doubt that any of this is true. Perhaps the friend who reported it elsewhere does not want to be identifiable? There has been an emerging issue with different types of anti-social teenage/ young adult behaviour on the Rye this summer and this latest incident indicates a tipping point into something much nastier. The park should be a safe and enjoyable space for all.
    • It is back to its proper route. The bus was diverted due to an incident on Pytchley Road yesterday afternoon.
