Any trouble in East Dulwich?

Recommended Posts

Just tried to go for a rare drink on Lordship Lane as the kids are at their Grannies and found half a dozen people looking out down towards the Parmerston. the co-op has definitely had its window smashed in and the Parmeston looks damaged too, Two police have just turned up..apparently some lads had been running up the street with balaclavas on.....in East Dulwich.

Had a walk down to get some stuff from co-op not realising it had spread to ED. Palmerston had window smashed, and Pharmacy just along the road has had the window completely smashed in. Police were in there as we walked back home. Stay inside, stay safe.

The Post Office's alarm is ringing. Friends of ours were at Le Chardon were at dinner this evening. They were told to eat their food rather quickly becuase the owner said 'Large gangs of youth are running up and down..we want to bring the shutters down.

And they were still on the 2nd course only

    • Register by 18th June to vote according to new rules (if you have settled status, indefinite leave to remain). Go to: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote More info at:  https://www.electoralcommission.org.uk/blog/changes-eu-citizens-some-uk-elections If you are Italian and you have been unable to vote at the European Elections (ongoing today and tomorrow) because there is no possibility to do it in the UK, you are not alone and this is indeed a bittersweet moment for us, as this article from Europestreet news said on the 4th June:  https://europestreet.news/bittersweet-moment-what-eu-citizens-in-the-uk-think-about-the-european-elections/ It is good that we have the right to vote where we live.

    • Thank you. Based on what's happened so far, I'd prefer my own surveyor for a totally independent view. I really just want peace of mind to ensure the work is done properly. It's not in my interest to delay it unnecessarily but ironically, if my neighbour continues down this road, i will delay things further!   I'll speak to the council and freeholder on Monday.   Thank you!
