Wikipedia - "The term first appeared in the 1930s. Sports reporters of the era used separate pieces of paper to record the different statistical details of a game. If one team did not allow a goal, then that team's "details of goals conceded" page would appear blank, leaving a clean sheet."

Win against Hull on Saturday and I think Spurs on the 16th Dec will be a six pointer game, which could make a lot of difference either way and we still have a game in hand !

Sorry mate, no I'm not-newbie as of yesterday. Only been in the area since September-True Blue through n through and a Manc exile.

Not one for being nasty to other team supporters but like banter- friendly like. Ever been to the Swamp BTW ? ;-p

If your from Manc, fair play-just brought up wrong and thats not your fault !

Darren Fletcher, 'I don?t want to sound big headed, but I?ve never come up against anyone who has torn me to shreds. The only time that has happened has been in training against Roy Keane and Paul Scholes.' .... 'I have to train with Scholesy every day so I know how good he is. I can?t get near him.' .... hmmm yes the same Scholes the much maligned Lucas kept robbing of the ball last month at Anfield.

Darren Fletcher, what a world class talent he is, up there with likes of Veron and Djemba Djemba, so crap they named him twice.

Hahaha - I wonder if Scholes is being tee'd up for Footballer of the Year, with Fletcher getting the PFA joke award. If Scholes and Fletcher played for any other Club they'd get 2 yellow cards each every game before half time.

Now I wonder what would have happened if I had said that?

I'd have rolled my eyes and ignored it just as I have matthew.

Seriously, people might want to check scholes silverware before calling him crap. Yep he's a little physical and dirty, but we can't scream at divers and soft referees that's it a contact sport then complain about those midfielders who get stuck in.

Plus in all these years he's by and large kept his mouth and flies shut and let his football do the talking, a lesson many could learn.

I'm sure he's indifferent as to whether we like him, but I for one admire him.

What Mockney said.

Scholes is a class player and the only thing that gets him in trouble is the fact that he can't tackle to save his life. Hence the occasional booking or sending off for a poorly timed tackle that occasionally makes him look like a dirty player.

He's not a diver or a cheat and he doesn't have his head in the clouds like a lot of footballers these days. He quietely goes about his business on the field of play. So tackling apart, a model professional and as good a role model for young players as Ryan Giggs.

    • Electrical work can be dangerous, and hiring an unqualified individual can put you and your family at risk. and negate your insurance. A qualified electrician has the training and experience to safely handle any electrical issues, reducing the likelihood of accidents or injuries. With the exception of simple tasks, it is illegal for anyone other than a licensed electrician to perform electrical work. Hiring a qualified electrician ensures that the work is done in compliance with local laws and building codes. Some electricians are being recommended on EDF but here is no indication that they registered with NICEIC or NAPIT.  One is well advised to steer clear of Check-a-Trade which is a marketing service funded by subscription.
