I don't like to see any club in this sort of predicament, well maybe there's one I'd like to see dopwn the toilet but that's something else. I feel for Pompey because at least they have a good loyal following. I hope they survive but I still think we'll get the result tonight.

Well if they do get wound up then Liverpool will be 3 points better off as nearly every other top team has beaten them and will be deducted those points. Of course Pompey will survive with some 11th hour rescue as usually seems to happen.

As for the Villa Liverpool game last night I got more enjoyment ironing my shirts and that was dull! Hopefully that late winner will galvanize Liverpool into a charge up the table.

On another note who was the real Footballer of the Year? i.e. 1st Jan 2009 to 31st Dec 2009. I had previously not been convinced but over the last 12 months my choice has been ripping up trees and is now a firm favourite on the Kop with his ability, stamina and mentality... no not Dirk Kuyt but actually someone who can play football, step forward Yossi Benayoun!

I was thinking about what Mathew says too. If Pompey do go under then their matches are void which makes a fair differnce at the top Man U/Chelsea/Totts and Arsenal have all beaten them I think, whereas Liverpool lost. We've only won 4 games and as one is Pompey I'm really hoping they stay afloat.....

Joking aside it would be terrible if a proper club like Pompey go to the wall.

Saw that this morning on telly - why Liverpool didn't meet the ?5m asking price (like Man U, Everton & Arsenal) and instead blew ?7m on Dossena is an absolute joke.

Looks like Rangers are running away with the SPL - 10 men and they still won 7-1!

"Just shows you how poor the SPL is."

Whoops - that was Atila's point not Matt's - sorry Matt.

Matts Point:

What a load of old tosh. The Celts will triumph....get your money on, Matt. Now is the chance to top up your retiremnet fund.

Good point Declan...

Rangers have hit a brilliant bit of form Mic Mac. Anything but 3 points for Celtic on Sunday will see Mowbray under a sever amount of pressure.

It is the first Old Firm game in a long time that I've been confident going into. If Miller's red card is upheld that will be a blow, but I feel Rangers will win comfortably.

3-1.

I think Mowbray is a limited manager. He got lots of praise last season for perservering with West Brom's short passing game, but where did it get them in the end? He had no plan B when they were embroiled in a desperate relegation battle. Now at Celtic he seems to be doing the same again.
I think Martinez may be next for the chop. He's fallen into the Tony Mowbray syndrome of trying to get a group of sub standard footballers to 'play' their way out of the relegation dogfight. Better to take a leaf out of Tony Pulis' book. It's not pretty, but it's effective.

    • Dog kennel isn't a great name for a school. I agree that it's ridiculous for the name to put anyone off going there, but don't see any issue with them rebranding if the parents and children prefer a new name. The school is surrounded by historical 'groves' (reflected in the names of Camberwell Grove, Grove park and Grove Vale for example), so it's not a totally random name.
    • It might help if there are body cams to record evidence and a presence maybe a deterrent but I very much doubt a park warden would intervene with obnoxious and violent thugs - children or not. We need police for that.
    • I had a leaky toilet cistern and Niko came out the same day and not only fixed the leak but thoroughly cleaned off the years of calcium build-up. His attention to detail was matched by his kind humanity. The result was a completely renovated toilet which has never worked more efficiently as well as 'service with a smile'. MANY THANKS NIKO!!!
