Liverpool 2-0 Man Utd 25.10.09. Yep it's only Liverpool

It was only Nani that got sent off SP - unless he is now one of your better players?

I saw the Nani tackle and for me I don't think it was a Red card. It may say in the rule book he had to go but if the Ref followed rule book then how the hell does Paul Scholes ever last an hour on the pitch???

We can argue about Fabregas not being in the box (although assuming he was 10 yards back from free kick he most certainly was in area so I'd say if Ref gives it as a handball then by default he will give a pen as otherwise he has failed in putting back the wall 10 yards.

Come on Matt, you can take a joke can't you? Unlike some. Suprisingly,as I'm sure you know, Nani IS one of our better players now. At least he has been for three or so games. I know Robbie Savage was umming and ahhing about the tackle as he wasn't sure it was a red card, but hey, them's the breaks.

I haven't seen the Fabregas incident but I was suprised Liverpool didn't out muscle Arsenal last night. You say you had a lot of the game Matt?

Well the first half was a shocking spectacle but the second was quite open. I think it was quite balanced. Both teams had chances. Ngog may be derided for his Brum dive but last night when clean through he leapt out of the way when the Dutch defender tried to go across the back of him inside box.

Lot of empty seats at Emirates from what I saw on telly. If they can't fill it with Wenger's football in a big match what chance when they say have another Bruce Rioch or George Graham in charge?

Watched it all on Match Of The Day last night. Definately not a penalty. It was outside the area...though you probably have a point about the wall not being ten yards. I thought Liverpool lacked quite a bit of ambition going forward and lost fair and square.

As for Spurs and their rubbish performance against Wolves. Alan Hansen remarked last night:- "As soon as Spurs look like they are in the ascendency they will always let you down." How bloody true.

Some happy Hammers this morning I'll bet.

Harry Redknapp and Milan Mandaric were released on unconditional bail this morning after appearing in a London court charged with tax evasion. Mandaric, Redknapp's chairman when he was manager of Portsmouth, released a statement saying he was confident he would be exonerated of any wrongdoing. Their case was adjourned until April 14.

John Terry boarded a plane to Dubai this morning in an effort to save his marriage amid allegations of an affair with the ex-partner of England team-mate Wayne Bridge. The Chelsea captain will miss the FA Cup fifth-round tie at home to Cardiff on Saturday after Carlo Ancelotti, his manager, agreed to compassionate leave.

Hull have been fined ?40,000 and Arsenal ?20,000 for failing to control their players in a Premier League match at the Emirates Stadium in December. Better news for Hull is they have settled their legal dispute with former chairman Paul Duffen out of court.

Steven Gerrard, the Liverpool captain, has hit out at Howard Webb's "crazy" decision not to award his side a penalty in last night's 1-0 defeat away to Arsenal. Cesc Fabregas admitted afterwards that he handled Gerrard's stoppage-time free kick but Webb, the referee, did not spot it.

Gerrard went down a tad too easily on a few occasions last night. Not befitting conduct for a potential England captain.

Matthew

Not that many empty seats that I saw and the attendance was over 60k

Perhaps, the poor dears work so hard they need to have some perks. How do they scrape by on a mere ?120k a week, it must be sheer hell for them.

    • Thank you for the detailed advise @trinidad It is definitely damage we are concerned about. I don’t think Evri would agree to pay the bill to fix our gate or letter box if they were to be damaged as a result of their delivery drivers helper. Our doorbell can be heard from outside when rung so we don’t quite believe the aggressive simultaneous door/letter box banging is necessary. It can be quite a shock it is done very aggressively.  I’ll definitely action the steps you’ve kindly provided along with a phone call tomorrow. I do sympathise with the role drivers have and how busy they are, which is why we tried communicating directly with her but sadly we haven’t succeeded
    • What outcome would you like? Disciplinary action? Not to have the driver back? Retraining? I know there is alot of pressure on drivers to deliver within a set day. if he slams the gate, is it evidence he is causing damage, or is the noise a irritant to yourself? You could put a sign up or buy a signing asking to close the gate gentle???? can you hear the door bell from the door? he might be ringing, not hearing and therefore knocking. In trhe notes section of the be livery page, there is a note section, although there is not 100 per cent these notes would be read as these drivers are constantly rushing.  I did a google search for you, i found this and you can try the envri website Contact Us | Evri   To complain to Evri, you can follow these steps: Contact Customer Service: Call Evri's customer service at 0330 808 5456 for assistance with your complaint.    1 Write a Letter: Address your complaint to Capitol House, 1 Capitol Close, Morley, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS27 0WH.    1 Use the Official Website: Visit the Evri complaints page on their official website for detailed instructions on how to submit a complaint.    2 Email or Call for Specific Issues: For issues like missing or damaged parcels, you can email or call 0800 988 8888, which is free to call.    1 These methods will help you effectively communicate your concerns to Evri.   My driver is called anthony, he is brilliant to be honest. I cant fault him.
    • When I have more time and energy, I will look up the actual number of votes cast for each party in that election, rather than the number of seats won. I'm interested to see that you apparently  think that  Boris Johnson did a good job of "leading the country through Covid." Is your memory really that short? I won't stoop to calling Johnson and his cronies names in the way that you seem to think is appropriate for left wing politicians. At least the left wing politicians have some semblance of morals and a concern for people who aren't in some over privileged inner circle and/or raking in money for themselves on the back of an epidemic. I'm not going to open a can of worms on here  by commenting on the disgraceful so called "purge".
    • Can’t imagine what it must be like you have your doorbell rung harshly.
