So, Liverpool fans. Imagine this - season over and next day the big announcement... "Rafa's off".

Regardless of how it happens, what's your honest instant reaction do you think?

And while we're here of course they'll give their all against Chelsea. They need the points to be sure of UEFA next year.

Cap in hand, haha. Why do you think we love him Matt! 19 coming our way this weekend or next, it's all the same to us. :))

ITV Match Report: A dubious penalty on the stroke of half-time lifted the Merseysiders and they went on to dominate for much of the second period.

I listened to London Live's match commentary and although Millwall were not on sparkling form, the consensus was that the Ref gave everything Tranmere's way.

Off to look for some rotting grapes.

Last home game of the season today. A routine 2-1 win over Burnley in one of those games that will not affect anything major ? give or take a couple of positions in the league (not that the result was an accurate reflection of the game). I rarely stay on for laps of appreciation but, this season, given the achievements of the team, I did, as did nearly every Birmingham fan.

I never thought that we would be relegated this season ? unlike many pundits, including a number on EDF ? but we have exceeded my (realistic) expectations by 5 or 6 places. What has struck me more this season in the 40 years of supporting Blues is the attitude of the players throughout the season and the dignity of Alex McLeish. When the strains of ?Keep Right On?* rang out while the players were being rightly applauded, I felt very emotional and proud of my club.

This is what supporting a team is all about.

*the best song of any football club.

It goes back to our FA Cup win in 1956 and Alex Govan, on the team bus back from Highbury, was asked to give the team a song. Which was the original Harry Lauder version. And it stuck from then. It was also at one time adopted by other teams. When BBC2 did their George Best night, they had footage of Benfica v Man Utd semi-final in Lisbon and you can here Man Utd fans singing it.

Rafa is a likeable chap, but when you cut through the facts the football has gradually got worse since Paco (his assistant) left 3 years ago.

    • I personally think is a great idea Bobbly and would love if there was a section for it. I wouldn't offer free gardening under the "for sale" section as I would expect something in exchange and wouldn't expect our cat being looked after for free under the "wanted" section, as an example.

    • I have fond memories of Govinda's I used to go there  back in the 90's (maybe earlier) for an affordable tasty lunch..I was wondering if its still around. Now I have to make a point of going there. Does anyone else remember a really affordable basement cafe run by the church in a street off of Golden Square? parallel to Regent Street? I also used to love the Vegetarian cafe on Neal Street in the basement (Neal Street Cafe?) and there was an inczredible inexpensive authentic Japanese resturant I use to go to with my Japanese friends (who introduced me to it) tucked away behind Long Acre where that brown brick modern building ('modern' I think it went up in the 90's!) now stands that fronts Long Acre and Neal Street..I think it was called Asakasa or something?
    • I wonder where he could be deported to, Hungary the obvious candidate in Europe, perhaps he would get on well with Modi?   Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch and Reform UK leader Nigel Farage both said Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood should look at whether Abd El Fattah's citizenship could be revoked to enable his swift removal from the UK. Farage said in a letter to Mahmood: "It should go without saying that anyone who possesses racist and anti-British views such as those of [Mr Abd El Fattah] should not be allowed into the UK." So just racists views are ok Nige?
