I know it must seem like it to a non-SPL follower, but this has nothing to do with Rangers. It's 100% Celtic.

Eight Days A Week was a fine Lennon & McCartney hit but not as good as Lennon's last minute hit yesterday.

As for accusations of referee bias I've never seen a Liverpool side commit so many fouls for a long long time and all your bookings were deserved. In fact there was one particularly nasty foul on Gareth Bale that I thought deserved a red card. Liverpool played well yesterday and you had enough chances to win the game but didn't take them. Maxi's miss just before half-time would have really made hard for us to come back from but overall I thought Spurs edged it and deserved to win. So, one-nil and you fucked it up.

I'm glad you agree with it Keef but your original post was not clear.

There are two aspects to the discussion - the referring crisis in Scotland, which I think has every right to be discussed here and slagging off each others clubs for no reason, which does not.

As for Emerson Crane, you show a low level of understanding of this issue.

Low level of understanding or not, which is extremely patronising, just let it go. The whole refereeing situation in Scotland has descended into farce, and posts such as yours and others don't help to garner sympathy. Move on.

Now the more cynically minded conspiracy theorists out there claim a deal was struck between Allerdyce and Fergie to throw the game in favour of Mancs, as a vast Asian betting syndicate had offered them both a nice big brown envelope each plus a nice case of vintage claret each. Of course I don't believe such nonsense for a moment, after all a side such as Blackburn could NEVER lose by such a huge margin on purpose could they?

He's a very skilful player no doubt and a great performance, but you still don't kknow what you are going to get from him in a tough match.

I watched Torres in MOTD last night and he seemed to be getting into some great positions, but a bit slow to shoot. Bit frustrating for Liverpool fans I imagine, as with his two chances and that of Maxi Rodrigues they could have had the game won.

I agree Mac. Liverpool certainly had their chances to win it. I was at the game and I thought they played well. Torres is still lacking that extra yard in his head to be back 100-per-cent. I'm sure it won't be long before that happens and I hope so for Liverpool's sake but they still need another top class striker to play alongside him.

My fellow EDFers', I had the pleasure and privilege, yes privilege, to watch Barca dismantle Real and tear them a new one in the process. This performance is the best I've ever seen by a club side in my 53 years on planet earth.

Forget Liverpool v Chavski, forget Sunderland v Chavski, forget Mancs v Blackburn, forger Arsenal v Citeh, this was of the highest, highest calibre. And it could have been more than the 5 nil quite easily. And it was against, supposedly one of the best, and most expensively assembled, teams in the world. Imagine what they might do to the more mediocre sides!!!

Messi put in a mesmerising performance but man of the match and best footballer in the world, Xavi, put in a peerless performance, he didn't give the ball away once. At that level, that is unreal. Ronaldo reverting to his pouting, petulant self when things didn't go his way (money well spent eh Real?), throwing his arms up in the air and sulking.

This game will live in my memory for a long time, the one touch passing, the give and go, and the quality of Barcas attacking football was beyond measure. Real can count themselves lucky Pepe had a good game in defence.

Alternatively you could have watched Leicester v Notts Forest!!!

    • For every person like OP that moans their doorbell was rung and there was a knock on the door, there's someone else moaning that they didn't hear the delivery drivers. If you've ever done delivery work you'll know that loads of people's bells don't work. The delivery drivers probably goes to a hundred doors a day: press bell, knock door, drop package, move on. If you don't like delivery drivers, insist on delivery by Royal Mail where the workers have wages and a union - or just stop ordering shit online that's artificially cheap. But most of us (me included) don't want that
    • If someone comes to my house and bangs my door and slams my gate, I'd speak to them about it nicely and ask if they would please not do that. And then subsequently less nicely if they keep doing it, ending in reporting them.  We don't slam doors at home and I don't put up with that either. I can see us moving to a culture where we bribe drivers to be nice by tipping them, but we shouldn't have to. It's not necessary - does not matter if they are on minimum wage or not, or if society means that delivery services are outsourced or whatever reason anyone would like to concoct.
