I think what I object to is the fact that EC/Atila can't let a United game go by without attacking one or other of the team or the manager for cheating/diving/offending his sensibilities in some way or other. There is rarely a balanced analysis of the game from him or the possibility of a debate. There's no balance. There's no acceptance that maybe this is a game and other teams, including his own, might bend or break the rules or might have decisions go for them that shouldn't have. The same old insinuations get trotted out time after time, we had too much time added on, no one gets a penalty awarded against United, the referee is biased towards united, the commentators and media are biased towards United. It's tired and tiring (hence the yawn). Have a debate, make sensible comments about the team and the performance but why always bring it back to the fact that we are favoured or that so and so should have had a red card etc. etc.

Most of this is erroneous, as for balance, most of the postings on here lack that.

After my betting streak earlier I don't think I'll risk it MM.

"Neil Lennon has insisted that capturing silverware with Celtic is his top priority, rather than winning a personal Old Firm duel with Walter Smith."

What's wrong with the man? It's all about OF Derby!

The time for Fergie to have said all that about a player who should have got sent off, bad Ref, and how it changed the game, was at Wigan. Then perhaps instead of neutrals like myself pissing themselves laughing with his hypocracy last night, in his post match interview, he'd have banked some credibility rather than what is now just the sad pathetic snide remarks of a foul old Manager trying to influence the Ref ahead of Sunday's game at Anfield.

At the risk of being accused of being antagonistic, inflammatory etc I agree. No place in the game for such nonsense, maybe in Latin America, but not here.

I'm surprised you haven't had Narnia and Sandperson accusing you of imbalance, rudeness, being inflammatory etc. You can bet if I'd put that on here, they'd have been at me straight away.

No I haven't forgotten, but where on this post have I said Jah Lush will be after you? Can we now agree to move on?

I'm not after you. Do you have a persecution complex? Yes, let's move on shall we.

Looks like the FA are after Ferguson for his latest slur on poor refereeing. Matthew's point about his timing after Rooney's elbow last week is spot on.

If anyone cares to bother, please scroll back and find that I was the first person on this thread to accuse Rooney of thuggery in the Wigan match. It got completely overlooked until some of you read about it in the papers I suppose. It can't be true if it's not in a paper, can it?

    • Most churches rent out halls for children's' parties but rarely adult parties, Christ Church only does afternoon parties,   The East Dulwich Community centre hires out halls to 9 pm only and all music needs to be on a sound restrictor as is in a residential area. St Johns with St Clements have a small hall but not sure if they allow adult parties. Nunhead Green has a newish community centre with a couple of different size halls. Most places seem to charge around £40 ph  with a deposit of £100/200 (returned if no damage or excess cleaning needed.
    • Hello, Recently there have been various comments made on the forum which have resulted in heated discussions being had. I for one, hold up my hand and wanted to personally thank whoever is keeping the forum going.. remember when it was likely to close. We are all adults and should known when it is right to continue or just ignore or if really feel it necessary comment via pm. I have had a long relationship with the forum and have bought, sold, offered advice and in deed made friends on the forum over the years. It is a public forum after all and everyone is entitled to express their opinion and is also free. I am not as tech minded as most but with the season of good will approaching and-knowing in this economic climate how many people are  struggling, I  thought it would be a lovely idea, to perhaps set up a just giving page to raise funds for a local charity who might appreciate a contribution towards their Christmas festivities… On a practical side, might just be to complicated to administer as I am sure all have charities that we support so my other thought was not me, as I am useless but to set up a just giving page and whatever monies are raised, perhaps contribute to the festivities that use to be run by local shops or whatever.. Maybe even use a local church hall and just make it special for perhaps folk that find it difficult to access events or no access for say wheel chair users.. guess really, one is looking for guidance from the church and of course volunteers. Shoot me down if you must or feel the need but this is my view and no, sadly I won’t be around in the months before Christmas but can help remotely.
