Enough of this Liverpool - Man Utd guff. The Wolves v Spurs match was far more entertaining and a fitting tribute to Dean Richards who died at the tender age of 36. The tributes before the game the minute's applause from both sets of fans brought a tear to my eye. It was emotional stuff.

Have you never cried then?

LOL 'collapsed' ? He was in so much shock he punched the turf when they were sticking him on stretcher! No Nani has cried wolf enough times... what goes round comes around. No sympathy from me for that prancing prima donna. From the non photoshop pictures that I havd seen of the injury looks nothing more than a scratch. Time to move on.

Yep, couldn't agree more.

Blackpool unlucky last night, at times they were playing like champions and not the other way round. Ian Holloway you continue to win neutrals admiration for your attitude.

You'll rememeber Cesc Fabregas crashing out injured in the second leg against Barca in 2010 and missing a number of league matches at a time when Arsenal were in a similar position challenging in the PL to what they are now. With the loss of fabregas they fell away at a crucial time, all for chasing a lost cause against Barca (having lost heavily in the first leg).

I'm afraid Wenger wants to fill that gap in his record by winning the CL. So I'd expect your plea will fall on deaf ears.

Unfortunately I think you're right.

Funding crisis is getting worse and the VAT on Education pushed children out of independent schools, now their SEND needs are to be met by the state.
    • I completely agree with you - and last night was really terrible where I am. Between midnight and 1am was the worst, where it genuinely felt like a war zone. I had to run out of my house to try and stop a grown man setting them off in open space right by our front doors. In response he went to throw a half lit one at me and then seemed to think better of it. I am so sad at how bad the situation has got here and how selfish people are. Fireworks are bad for the environment and for pets and wildlife, as well as just being unnecessary noise for people too. I have sent an email today to Helen Hayes, which I have done previously on this issue. Would advise anyone to write to your MP to do the same, and to ask them to engage with the debates scheduled for 19 Jan.
    • And they started long before midnight!
