Yes, the 2nd leg of the FA Youth Cup Final is on Monday - and I know of Blades supporters who took out a 1 month subscription to the MUFC TV channel just to watch both legs live and consider the money spent a bargain. Just under 30,000 at Bramall Lane on Wednesday and 7000 tickets sold to Blades supporters for Monday....

And now Motherwell are out of the Scottish Cup the odds against Stuart McCall returning as manager will probably drop even lower...

It was a very one sided game, not seen anything that comprehensive at Anfield for a very long time. Kenny has done very well in recent months getting a midfield of Maxi, Spearing and Kuyt to perform but against Spurs they were outclassed.

Outclassed by Spurs - bugger, doesn't bode well for today. Inauspicious circumstances going into today's game at WHL given the injuries and the adverse press reports this week (some completely unfounded regarding finances and lack of harmony at the club, some completely irrelevant about players drinking after the end of season awards). Suspect that by 6pm, I will be applying to join the "Life Outside The Premiership" thread.

But you never know. I suspect Blackpool will be beaten by Man U, whatever team Fergie fields, and that Stoke will beat Wigan - given their season, Pulis will field his stongest team to give the fans a good send off at the Britannia (that's his way). So as long as we don't concede a hatful.

Alternatively, we could take matters into our own hands and try and win the game. A nervous few hours guaranteed.

It says a lot about Birmingham and West Ham, and any other clubs, who arrange to have end of season parties before the actual end of season!

I hope Blackburn get relegated after their reenacting of the infamous 1982 World Cup Germany v Austria stich up last w/e. Wigan to survive. Blackpool to go down please - another season of the West Country ego will be too much!

Unbelievable! He won the double for the first time in their history last year. I suspect Chelsea to finish outside of the top five next season and Abromovich will deserve it. If any club needs some some stability it's Chelsea. Not that I care.

Oh and by the way thank you Matthew for your response to the Liverpool v Spurs game. It's very rare for Spurs to get a result up there so your reply was much appreciated unlike Annasfield and a couple of others who seems to have gone to ground. It's the first double I can ever remember against your lot and I'm sure it'll be a long time before we do it again. Good luck next season.

Timwotsisname on SFTW made me chuckle.

He said that "now the Dalglish is managing Liverpool they're 14 to 1 to win the title next season. For those of you who aren't familiar with gambling terms that means that if you bet ten pounds you lose ten pounds".

It made me chuckle anyway.

Judging by his reported comments re WHU (used to indicate his readiness to manage another team in Premier League/Championship) Ancelotti knew what was coming and is preparing to stay in England.

Warnock for Chelsea please. (one of those strictly-come-dancing comedy appointments)

This tends to be a contractual thing where players do not have to make themselves available after the last game has been played. In Birmingham's case, I want to know the players who weren't out drinking till 4 in the morning (Larsson would be one, I suspect he gets giggly on a half of shandy).

For those who don't have MUTV and would like to watch it, it's live on the FA's website.

    • A detailed account of Nigel Farage's alleged racist and neofascist behaviour while he attended Dulwich College appears in the Guardian: https://www.theguardian.com/politics/ng-interactive/2025/nov/18/deeply-shocking-nigel-farage-faces-fresh-claims-of-racism-and-antisemitism-at-school Obviously for most the relevant question is if these allegations are true, then is Farage a suitable person for public office? But for Dulwich local yokels (and tbh anyone that's already formed a firm opinion about Farage), the more interesting question might be whether Dulwich College incubated and tolerated pupils' racist and bigoted behaviour at the time? After all, the allegations include that NF and a number of other boys sang songs about gassing Jews and engaged in other bigoted behaviour, that teachers were either present or aware of that behaviour, and that nothing was done. It's remarkable that pieces of the reporting abour 40 years ago mirror some of the allegations about Dulwich College's reaction to some pupils' alleged sexist and predatory behaviour 4 years ago. Minimisation, dismissal, wilful blindness... https://www.thetimes.com/uk/crime/article/i-warned-head-of-dulwich-college-about-abusive-boys-five-years-ago-xkxgjftk8 https://www.theguardian.com/education/2021/mar/26/dulwich-college-head-warns-pupils-over-culture-protest

    • Saied (Dulwich Eco Gardening) said he’d give us our garden back and he did. He cleared the overgrown front and back. It was bigger than we remember.    He doesn’t do hard landscaping on the scale we needed but recommended someone (Kris 07938 204480). He flagged and fenced it.    Once we decide what plants/pots we want we’ll have Saied back to do that. Can’t wait for next spring to use the garden.
