I don't think crowds will be hostile, they'll take the piss mercilessly but there will be no hostility towards him.

The super-injunction was a massive own goal for him. If he'd held off I reckon the press would have sat on the story the same way they did a number of stories about Gary Linekar. He'd just about worked his way into national treasure status then went and slapped a gagging order on the press, something they don't take kindly to.

Whoops.

In fairness to him it was probably on advice from a lawyer seeing pound signs a-flashing.

Don't be ridiculous. He is world class. He may have only scored four times last season but he did pick up a niggly injury halfway through the season and missed a a few games but other than that he was brilliant and at times the best player on the pitch in most of the matches I saw him play. I'll be absolutely gutted if he leaves Spurs.

I'm a Spurs fan too, and love him. But he's not world class....yet. A move to Man Utd may be what he needs to achieve that level to be honest. That title is bandied about willy nilly to too many good players. He needs to produce regularly on the international and Champions league stage to qualify for it.

Very few players are truly world class.

As a Spurs fan I'm bloody glad that didn't happen. Any stadia that has a running track around it will not be a great theatre or create a great atmosphere for football and unless West Ham gain immediate promotion back to the Premiership they'll be playing in a white elephant of an empty stadium.

Sadly I have to agree. Pictures of the stadium make it look as though watching a game there will be like watching Orient... from Upton Park.

Temporary seating etc. could make a difference but is it REALLY (Matty Etherington's return apart) going to look like this?

ETA: now Your Arsenal is closed can we expect an influx of chatty and disenfranchised Gooners on the EDF?

Do give it a go.
    • Greens have some mad polices and I am still trying to work out if it is true that the leader of the party thought he could hypnotize women to have larger breasts 🤷‍♂️ country is in a real state at the min and all party’s have a part to play in that. what the future holds who knows but it is worrying.
    • A stellar win for the Greens in Gorton and Denton, no doubt. But by-elections are funny beasts. Labour's strength traditionally has been in its ground game. Legions of canvassers over many years in many seats usually means that they are best placed to 'get out the vote' on election day. I can't quite believe that the Greens have enough data, or people, to wrest control of the council from Labour.
