United have been beneficiaries of "idiosyncratic" referees many times in the past, as have most clubs, so thats no excuse. They were expected, or they expected, to win this game and didn't. Makes the title race interesting especially with Citeh in the mix, albeit having played 2 more games than the Arsenal and the Mancs. The win against CSKA Fulham was most enjoyable, especially the manner of the win.

Darn. A dull match would have been compensated for. Eneded up in the CPT as no show at the Actress.

I'm a gooner, and feeling very chuffed indeed. Mainly because United dropped points again last night. Hopefully we can pick another 3 up tonight, and its game on for the rest of the season! Citeh's form is starting to worry me though, especially considering we've got them in a few days!
If we play at our best we should fear no team. Bit that's just the problem with the Arsenal, we play great one week and indifferent the next. The league will be won by a fairly mediocre team no matter who wins it. I can't remember a poorer Premier League than this season.

Utd have still got to play Chelsea twice plus Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs away so will drop more points, should be close come the end of the season.

Palace conceded a penalty in the 5th minute of injury time at Bristol yesterday - gutted. I can now look forward to a trip to Millwall v Palace on New Years Day, sure they will give us a nice warm welcome.

Hmmmm..... you're including yourselves in that assessment? I think this season is much more exciting as there are more teams in the mix and not just the same two in contention as has been the case year in year out. Looking at the Premiership at the moment it's possible that any one of five teams could win it.

I have to say that Spurs have been one of the bright lights this season. While some of the top teams might have lost a bit of quality, Spurs have stepped up and for the neutral they been many people's favourite team to watch.

Those Liverpool players should be ashamed of themselves, they appear to have given up or be actively trying to shift the blame to anywhere but their door. And the crowd could have got behind them a bit as well - it sounded like a training match.

Truly a club in bother.

    • Hello! We are relocating abroad and so will be withdrawing our two children (ages 4 and 6) from St Dunstan’s College (Catford). If any family is considering enrolling children of a similar age, now would be an excellent opportunity—we’re required to pay full‑term fees unless the places are taken. Please get in touch if you’re interested or know someone who might be. Thank you!

    • Hi, I saw your post and just wanted to say that the incident you’re referring to did happen in the late 1980s at Dawson’s Heights. The person involved was named Carl Salawa, and he had just turned 18 years old at the time. Like you, I haven’t been able to find any news articles or official reports about it, If anyone remembers anything more about that time or incident, I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Thanks for sharing what you were told—it means a lot to know others remember.
