The Mary Portas one, is it Living and Giving? Or the one near the station, Clothes for Causes, which I always thought was more of a lifestyle support system for someone who wanted to build a profile as some sort of sustainability vlogger.

There was one called Give and Take next to EDT which became Question Air and has now changed its name to something else

The one with the questionable business model was Give and Take, now closed.


Though maybe Clothes for Causes did as well.

Is this the shop which has been discussed on here before due to weird random exclusions of particular items from offers publicised in the shop?

Yes Sue it is. And I know people have suggested previously that some of the helpers may have certain health related issues, but there is no excuse for rummaging through a donated bag of goods in front of customers and the person kind enough to donate them, and suggesting said donated items are not wanted or they have too much already. It?s iust plain rude. If someone is kind enough to donate, these people should at least show some gratitude. The lovely people at St Christopher?s are always pleased with any donation, and always so thankful.

I think the Walworth Road and Camberwell shops are in aid of Crisis.

      Great news! Peckham Rye station to reclaim its public square by next year!

      I'm confused. If there are no lifts, does that mean people who are in wheelchairs or who otherwise can't easily  walk, or who have heavy wheeled cases which they can't lift up and down stairs,  can't use Peckham Rye station? I'd have thought that was against some or other disability legislation?

      Whose priorities? Peckham Rye station is operated by Southern Railway. Southwark Council doesn’t own or operate the station, and it can't force Southern or anyone else to install lifts at the station. I'd love there to be lifts at Peckham Rye. It would be very expensive.

      Anything that improves the front of the station has to be a good thing. Opening up the square in front is a superb idea, it will show the beauty of the architecture of the station, just as they did at Kings Cross when they ripped out the monstrosity of the 1960's frontage and now the station gleams. People probably go there to see the beauty of it. Now wouldn't it be good if once opened up and cleaned up, people visited to see how wonderful it then looks. I guess there is a generally lack of trust that the station square will open by the end of next year, HOWEVER, when the current frontage is removed and the square is opened up as it originally was it will look grand.

Shockingly, I actually have to agree with some of the points you've raised.  Reform are the relics of BNP and UKIP, both detestable so add them together and you get an even worse result which is Reform that the UK can do without.
