nunners85
Hi, I'm considering switching to iD mobile - it works off the Three network. Does anyone use iD? Do you have good coverage in the ED area? (The network map I'm looking at suggests there might be areas where it isn't so good.) Bic Basher
Going by the coverage map, 4G is patchy at the southern end of Lordship Lane. 3G seems stronger in ED, but still patchy in parts.I use Virgin (which uses EE) and I have rock solid 4G throughout ED. Sue
I used iD until recently, and never had any problems around ED. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/191375-mobile-phone-coverage/#findComment-1245350 Share on other sites

se22cat
Long term Three customer here, if you are in Goose Green, the coverage is awful, 4G only works once in a blue moon in this area too.If you complain to 3, they will give you a home booster, but that's even more radio waves and if you are sensitive to that sort of thing, not ideal. KidKruger
Vodafone fine for me in ED too, the last 20yrs anyway. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/191375-mobile-phone-coverage/#findComment-1245738 Share on other sites

So that is another work of fiction by them. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/191375-mobile-phone-coverage/#findComment-1245762 Share on other sites
cella
Totally agree about Three - I have go outside to make calls when at home and often receive messages the next day! budleigh
I'm on Three and they claim it's excellent in the area (award winning blah blah) - it barely works for me. Most of lordship lane it doesn't work. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/191375-mobile-phone-coverage/#findComment-1245768 Share on other sites

Bic Basher
The worst thing about Three is they don't have 2G back up for voice calls. So you either get 3G (or 4G) or nothing, where as with the other networks, you should be able to use 2G indoors at least if 3/4G doesn't work inside. mikeb
I moved from EE to Vodafone because I couldn't get reception in my house. All is good with Vodafone now. Cazzaw
I'm on EE and get no reception at all inside my house on Henslowe Road, very annoying. Although strangely as soon as I go outside the coverage is fine and fine everywhere else in ED. LImited coverage in EDI have Vodafone and it is great. I tried the others and they all had problems with signal strength. Talkmobile runs on Vodafone network, is cheaper and has all the good coverage that Vodafone has. IlonaM
EE mobile reception is very poor and unreliable indoors at Horniman end of Underhill Rd, but relatively ok elsewhere in East Dulwich. ribrob
Data on three is usually terrible from Denmark hill station to about a third of the way up lordship lane.Voice works ok outside but is poor inside. The only reason I tolerate them is their unlimited data bundle.
