Hmm. I'll stop mouthing off, then. Fanks.

I think that's harsh on Phillips. Southern hemisphere teams often seem to have a greater propensity for converting pressure to points. Priestland missing from in front of the posts, the forwards getting shoved off the ball on the SA 22 were lapses that cost them the game. Just not clinical enough and we see it time and again.

I was using Phillips as an example of scrum half play that bugs me. It can become so dress rehearsed that there is no element of surprise. So many times when they are looking around to see what's on they get turned over. I just think that sometimes they should just pick and go. If you don't know what the plan is your opponents certainly won't.

That said the late drop goal and penalty misses should have won Wales the game.

How strange, apparently the Sun is trying to make an issue out of some rugby types having an alcoholic drink.

I kind of thought it went with the territory.

How a News International rag has the gall to describe anything as disgraceful any more is surely the real scandal here!!

That was torture. Kept expecting Ireland to blow it. As they say, forwards win matches and in this case the backs decided it should be too close for comfort. Can't remember the last time a sporting event made me so nervous.

Not sure you kiwi's should be too happy. You may have to play the Aussies before the final now. Wonder what the odds are on an NZ v France final as in 87?

When the Ireland forwards are in this mood they can control games. Trouble is its quite rare recently. Paul O Connell interview was very low key afterwards which shows they are not getting ahead of themselves.

Looks like Wales as possible quarter final opponents if Ireland win the group. Also looks like Ireland should have done enough already to get through even if they were to lose to Italy which is significantly better than 4 years ago.

I'd a small bet on Ireland with an 11.5 pts handicap. Just to win was about 5/1. It now looks like one European half to the draw with the tri nations being in the other. Ireland could potentially win or lose to any of those possible opponents as well as to Italy. No point in getting too excited.

Did Tommy Bowe not think to kick the ball crossfield when he knew he was being run down at the end? There was empty space apart from two Irish players there. A certain try.

Here again Mr Iain Mackenzie in the East Dulwich Forum under Huguenot, having fun and trying to find the opportunity

to get what he wants. Does the Head Office is aware about all this ! I just wonder.

    • My car was stolen a few months back from my driveway but I had a tracker and found it in a private car park in Lavender Hill close to the police station. I was lucky. The thieves hide it up against that eventuality. High spec cars are targeted I'm afraid. The way it was stolen required the thieves to wire in their own computer accessing a front light (which had had a metal sheet welded across which they prised off). They had searched for a tracker but not found it. They also had to cut away a steering wheel lock. They had to come well tooled up and briefed to do what they did. Beating them off is non trivial. As I said, them not finding my tracker was just lucky.
    • Been with The Gardens now for around 30 years and very rarely do I have a problem. I went in to collect a form and mentioned that my leg was hurting and hot- was seen immediately by the Practice nurse who then arranged an appointment on the Saturday with the Extra care service at TJ Centre where I saw a doctor, who then sent me off to Kings for further tests.. I recently booked a flu jab but appointment is in 2 weeks.
    • Have used Milk and More for years. When the price went up we cancelled a couple of pints but we still have 8 pints a week. If we are expecting family etc we buy from Sainsburys to top up. We kept on with M & M as if weather bad we could order extra stuff from them to save us a trip to Sainsburys Local. Also gives employment to our milkman.
    • Hi there, Our Lexus NX300H, (reg RF18BWO) was stolen off our driveway last night, Monday 27th October. It was there at 9pm, and had gone by 7am. If anyone has any footage on their doorbell or Ring, that would be super helpful. We have asked some neighbours and reported to the police etc.  Most upsettingly, there was a box of old family videos in the car boot, in an old Sainsburys box (photo attached). If anyone sees these dumped at the side of the road, please contact me asap! They are priceless videos that my deceased grandparents took. Thank you for any info, Jojo
