I know, ihateit ihateit ihateit. But sucked in again....wwwwaaahhhh!!!!

What was Louis thinking bringing in crazy lady, and why did she leave?

And the wee little norn irish girl. The last thing in the world that she needs is a record contract with Siom Cowell's putrid dross producing record label. I was really hoping, for her own sake, that she wouldn't make it through!!

Crazy woman left because she didn't want to be another Wagner apparently (I saw it on the interweb somewhere, please note, not in Heat magazine).

What I hate about this programme is the idea that this is all they have in the world. Music is their WHOLE LIFE, but they've never written a song, or sung live, or joined a band in their WHOLE LIVES, but it's everything, it really, truly is. And that their day jobs at which they work hard (or don't) are meaningless and somehow demeaning, whereas pawning their ass for a set of new teeth and the chance to be found wanting by 8 million people every week is an uplifting life chance. Wake up suckers, you could be the next Joe McElderry.

Anyway, as I say, I'm looking forward to the live rounds. Especially now Dr Who has finished.

It's reflective of the desperate situation that the youth of today & conversely the ageing wannabes find them selves in.

Desperation and fear reads large in the eyes of the contestants.

" I don't wanna go back to where I've come from " ( the biscuit factory, care home, my old life )

" I want new teeth/exploiting/obscurity "

" I wanna be anything but nothing "

Which is why I'm compelled to observe this exercise from N-Z (nadir to zenith)

Nette:)

I don't think I've ever got as worked up over X Factor as I did last night. Louis Walsh, honestly. And Sinitta, why oh why is she on the show every year as an "expert"?! The over 25's category is turning into more of a freak show every year... although I do think that the tall skinny bloke would be better as a drag act!

The Scottish girl should have gone through, not the little Irish girl with a voice nearly as annoying as Diana Vickers.

On the plus side, I very much enjoyed watching the Robbie Williams/Gary Barlow banter on Saturday night. They might be getting on in years but by god they're sexy ;-)

Overaged freak ("OMG look!!... but who'd-a thought that voice...")- tick

Cute Celt for the Irish vote ("And the people of Omagh have something to cheer about tonight...") - tick

Hastily assembled group ("Will Tulisa's gamble pay off...?") - tick

Pre-pubescent looking boys/girls ("girlish sigh/boyish lustful moan") - tick

Bitch ("Tell her not everyone's against her... of course she'll swallow it, she's desperate") - tick

Chunky chap and lass ("That'll give the pie-eaters someone to cheer for") - tick

Black girl/guy ("We are so inclusive") - tick

Non-starters to be evicted in first weeks ("Put them through, they won't be around for long") - tick.

Autotune on standby, decide who will feature most heavily in M&S Xmas tv ad campaign, and we're off...

I really like the Irish girl though (Janet) and think Kelly got her choices right. I have no idea what planet Louis is on as usual. I think the girls are the group to beat and I actually think the groups might turn out to be quite good this year as well. Just happy to see most people can sing tbh.....think that's an achievement in itself compared to previous years.

The fist few weeks does make me look when all the freaks are on, and they have no chance of ever winning a place.

Then there are the losers that show their true personality when they realise they have failed.

If you look back now how many do pass and make a it to become famous.

If I were one of the judges, I would have the old fashiond Flap in the stage where they performed, instead of a judge waving the music to stop, a lever could be pulled and the contestant could be without any arguement dispatched to the outside Wheelie Bin.

  • 2 weeks later...

Hurrah..

The freak show returns X-Factor is on tonight.

Log fire, whole family on the sofa & a slow cooked something from the oven.

It's a joyous thing to behold.

Who'll be in or out, well frankly who cares.

I just love the occasion.

Oh that, plus the warm glow of knowing the "Fox" has gone.

( and wondering "what will otto buy" )

Sadly watching XFactor USA as well (record them on Sky Plus and fast forward the adverts for both series) - the US crowd are far far superior to the UK lot and you get a better judging panel including the great Simon Cowell. Want Johnny as a 'stick it to the judges' Wagner vote for UK otherwise don't really care.

I thought last weeks show was great and last night's equally as good. Can't decide if it's because the acts are better, or the panel, or both. For me the biggest talent is Misha Bryan, but Janet Devlin is good too. The suprise for me is Rythmix - they are getting better and better and at last....a UK girl band where everyone can actually sing!

Think NuVibe will go tonight.

Here we go with the sob fest! I'm quite relaxed about who goes, there were so many yesterday who were a bit ordinary, karaoke-stylee. I like Marcusthehairdresser and Misha B (Misha to win?). The Risk and the girl group were quite good too. I don't think Jonny will go, don't they fix it so the comedy crap acts stay in for a few rounds?

Edited for rubbishosity.

It's not as good as last year, yet - because Matt was so bloody good singing all those girl songs and Cher was the breathe of fresh air that kept it alive as a competition all the way to the latter stages. Cher made it interesting last year.

Marcus to win....if Gary Barlow starts giving him the right Motowny/Soul songs.

To be honest....

That Franky fellow is ...well "crummy" if you ask me ( and I don't like those trousers much either )

And Craig's developing singers tic's already, so he'll be off, back to the biscuit factory soon.

What's the big girl called, anyway, not digging her much or scary lady/weird brow-head. Way too scary.

So that leaves Marcus, who quite frankly nearly fell apart waiting to see if he's through.

Then Mischa B, who's a cross between Grace Jones & Lady Ga-Ga & goes from strength to ( x-factor ) strength

Have we missed anyone..? Oh yeah "Pub & Red Head Girl" she's/they're so very sweet.

As for the judges...well.. man-lady-up.

It's show time boys & girls and we want blood/sweat/tears.

Show us your pain.

( see Downton Abbey, they know just how to do it )

* clicks fingers *

"Enough"

* glides out of the room *

    • Awful. A Google search came up with this, but will he check his office email over Christmas? Maybe worth also contacting local councillor? 'To contact Southern Housing's CEO, Paul Hackett, you can try his direct email, [email protected], or use the general contact email [email protected], as well as calling their main number, 0300 303 1066, for general inquiries or to be directed to the executive level.' Also, from the website: https://www.southernhousing.org.uk/latest-news/2025/contacting-us-over-the-festive-period   'Contacting us about an emergency? If you have an emergency outside of the above times over the festive period, such as severe flooding, an uncontainable leak, gas leak, complete electrical failure or lift breakdown, please call us on 0300 303 1066' I hope it is sorted out soon.
    • Dawson Heights again  2 lifts out of order at ladlands block Christmas Eve so of course the 🛗 will not be repaired tomorrow Christmas Day or Boxing Day or when how do elderly or mothers with children and prams and food and presents get to the floors and with the 10 minutes you get to drop off  to park and not get a Pcn fine and delivery food to relatives who can’t leave their house unbelievable Southern housing does any know email address of Coe of southern housing
    • Sorry but I think it's best if people just check things for themselves when they buy things. In three shops/restaurants (from some years back) I just avoid the places concerned, as in all three  cases I was pretty sure it wasn't a genuine mistake, and in one place  it happened more than once and usually late at night.
    • Sorry Sue - me again. This has been on my mind all day, it's a big bug bear of mine. If you don't mind - please can you private message me some of these shops so I can cross reference / add to my AVOID list.  Thanks in advance. Let's make sure this doesn't happen this Christmas, particularly as we head into sales season. Even more problematic in my experience.
