OMG, my kids are going to be so happy. They have never quite got over the trauma of Hope and Greenwood turning into a dog shop. And then the false promise of the short-lived Sweet Sanctuary on North Cross Road, which turned out to be nothing of the sort. Make their dreams come true, Mr Simms!

Ooh, good call, used to enjoy a sneaky Dinosaur Egg at school and the frisson of being asked a question by a teacher setting in a mild panic to somehow style it out!

Toffee bonbons (the ones with white outsides!) Treacle toffee! Plain Jane toffee! Those Sharps mixed toffees with crackly wrappers and lots of flavours! Butterscotch! Sherbet dips! Sugared almonds!

Can you still get those Old English (??) Spangles? I think they used to come in a black wrapper. Interesting flavours.
