Ooh, I missed the last one (the combination of office party and work mate's leaving do all in one on the same night as forum drinks) but I am pretty sure I can make this one, especially as it comes the day after pay day. Woo hoo!

January will be a pretty tight month as it is, because I am having to make my salary stretch over six weeks, and what with Xmas and all ... I think I'll be needing a drink after all that ...

I keep wanting to come and meet all you lovely people. But there is always some very good reason I cant.

And this time Jan 25th is Burns Night!

However I had a tentative idea for Burns Night and was perhaps looking to send out feelers for a forum bash. To those who have never been Burns night is excellent even if you are not Scottish.

The Plough is doing a thing on Thursday 24th with a piper, poetry readings and 3 course dinner with haggis! (think there is a veggie haggis too) , ticket only. I may start a thread nearer the time - but any Scots / non Scots up for it?

As it says in the article, the area around the main tourist attractions in Southwark, that is The Globe, Southwark Cathedral, Tate Modern and the whole walking route from London Bridge to Blackfriars, takes a lot of maintaining and it shouldn't be a burden on regular council tax payers like us.
