Meet New People In East Dulwich

Hope everyone's going to brave the elements and still come along this evening. I'm currently debating whether snow boots are really acceptable in the EDT on a Saturday night. Probably not, but I'll be wearing them in any case!

See you there

Sarah

You lot are up early. My black out blind went up yesterday and I've just woken up! Glad to hear the baton has been successfully passed ellejay. See you next time, when I shall endeavour to eat more than toast before arriving and not accept a double whisky from the nice gentleman at the bar.

Hey everybody

As some of you know I had to leave east dulwich after my au pair family did not need me anymore. I am however back in London and would love to see all of you again. So I will hopefully be coming along in the 16th. So good to be back

Cheers

Ok well I think I'm going to stick with the 16th as the date as otherwise I won't be able to arrange anything until March - I will book an area somewhere so it would be great if those interested can either let me know here or by pm so I've got an indication of numbers. Everyone welcome of course!

Hi all,

Just booked a space at the EDT for 7:30 on Saturday (the 16th) - hope to see you all there! The table is booked for Laura, which is me.

Was going to go to the Great Exhibition but they don't take bookings for fewer than 20, so hope everyone is ok with returning to the EDT!

    • Massive thank you to Stephen. Painted our whole house - and got lots of other bits sorted, too. Nothing was too much trouble, everything looks great and all came in on quote. Fantastic. Liverpool fan, but don’t hold that against him. Will 100% use again.
    • We worked with Eliot recently to get two sets of shelves built. He was excellent! Really high quality craftsmanship, communicative and lovely - I’d recommend Langley Carpentry in a heartbeat.
    • How about trying the upstairs of some local pubs like EDT? They prob won't stay open until wee small hours but worth a try... or night at Rivoli Ballroom Catford (too old?!) or somewhere up in town for drinks rather than hiring somewhere.
    • Sadly crime does seem to be going up in terms of opportunists and street crime / bike thefts etc. Lack of CCTV in this area means it's more of a target than some neighbouring areas according to police (when they sent victim support round after our car had its catalytic converter stolen twice in 6 months by organised gang complete with balaclavas, iron bars and a chainsaw.. driving a 4x4). Crime still relatively low by some parts of London standards but a worrying trend if burglars are trying their luck when people are actually home. Wonder what local police/ MP thoughts are in terms of whether they could organise more community policing patrols. I read a woman was punched in the face on/near Lordship Lane in an unprovoked attack a week or two ago. Terrifying.
