I can almost almost beat this. As part of my sister in laws post Canadian wedding activities, we've just been invited to see Iron Maiden in Edmonton, Canada.

Most of Trevor Horn's ZTT list from the 80s...

Propaganda, Art of Noise, Anne Pigalle ("Why Does It Have To BeThis Way") Frankie Goes to H., 808 State ("Pacific State")...

No longer fashionable really but they're all still there - even if only as background to sports montages....

And on that same 'theme': Yello and Human League.

Er yes - amongst my peer group at least but completely accept that "deeply unfashionable" is only an opinion and not an exact science. I'd question the earlier references to the Cure / Sisters of Mercy etc and I'm sure you could probably find a demographic that still worship the Wurzels.

In evidence however I submit - We're Only Making Plans For Nigel....

"And a version of Squeeze are still doing the rounds."

Yeah I saw them at the Cambridge Corn Exchange a few years back.

It was a bit cringworthy to be honest, especially when they invited people at the front up on stage to sing-a-long and there was a chap who stood next to Tillbrook and did the fingers-to-the-ear-whilst-pulling-a-vinegar-face thing whilst singing.

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry but it's an image burned indelibly into my mind unfortunately.

Good shout on Steely Dan, they may not have enhoyed a resurgence themselves, but there are about a million bands these days who sound like them.

Yes are a good choice: deeply unfashionable, but some (some) decent work. Genesis ditto.

I'd add Rush too, who at least have one of the greatest drummers that ever lived. And as Pavement (great body of work, but fashionable) say:

"What about the voice of Geddy Lee? How did it get so high? I wonder if he speaks like an ordinary guy? (I know him and he does)."

    • If you mean the one outside the church going towards Peckham, it still had the closed sign on it this morning, but as there are no road works there, I'm sure some of the drivers will stop there on request.  The stop outside the chippy coming from Peckham is closed as there are road works in front of it.  The 4 way traffic lights are in operation.., causing a lot of congestion.
    • We found a recommendation for Geek Electrics on a here after we wanted to have a electrical inspection of a property we are buying. From the very beginning through to the end Bob was responsive, helpful and demonstrated his knowledge. He has been an absolute pleasure to deal with. We will defiantly be using Bob again and would thoroughly recommend him! His details are... www.geekelectrics.co.uk 07453 407 226 [email protected]
