I think we may have done that one (before my time - before Carnell, or B.C. as I like to refer to it) but an excellent choice nonetheless.

Are we on for the 17th?

I'm tempted to try curry elsewhere - perhaps Forest Hill if anyone knows of anywhere with a good reputation. Will also settle for a takeaway at Mike's flat though!

I went there (The Mirash) last Sunday night and very enjoyable it was too. In fact I'm quite a regular in there and Tandoori Nights but I have a problem with my Hampsteads at the moment and I'm having what is left of a rotten tooth out on the 17th and don't think I'll be up to eating anything much at all so I'll have to try and get to the one after. Bon appetite!

Yes, generally avoid a "buffet" approach. Jah, I am sure Ray will be happy to mince your food, so allowing you to indulge yourself ....

Having just spent 2 1/2 weeks in France a spot of spice was needed last night and a Mirash delivery hit the spot.

Shall we say EDT at 7.30 and the meal at 8.30?

Who else is up for it?

xxxxxxx

I ate at the Mirash for the first time ever on Friday night, and thought the food was very poor.

Soggy tasteless pilau rice, tasteless lamb dish, large dry chunks of paneer in the sag paneer.

Wouldn't go there again. And the seats were extremely hard and uncomfortable, which didn't help!

In the end it was Lady Mac who had the garlic chicken. We survived

A good night all told - we were well looked after by the Mirash boys. We had a cameo from Mr Administrator and we managed to persuade a naughty girl who had no intention of coming to stay out as well.

Annother fun night at a curry house..... lovely to see everyone, and meet someone new too (hello Shoshntosh!) I enjoyed my curry (Sag chicken) but have to say I still prefer the creamy ones!

Have to say it was the scariest looking keema naan bread I've ever seen though!

Well done to Lady mac on the garlic chicken..... although I think it was missing the raw garlic that was sat atop the Onions curry last time!

    • So of you're in a coffee shop and the barista is rude to you you wouldn't complain as long as you had received your coffee?
    • OP, you've got to relax a bit. Multidrop delivery is a total nightmare and the delivery drivers are woefully underpaid. We as a society all want to order stuff online and for it to be delivered quickly and cheaply. The square gets circled by allowing companies like Evri to have sham contracting arrangements. None of this is your fault OP but the delivery person is just trying to get through their workload as quickly as possible. Delivery is not, historically, an industry with large profit margins. “The only way it can be profitable is if you underpay the person who is the courier, by not treating them as an employee, by not paying taxes, by not paying their insurance, by refusing to give them sick pay or cover them if they have an accident or train them,” says Prof Annabelle Gawer, the director of the Centre of Digital Economy at the University of Surrey. “That is where the ‘savings’ are coming from.” https://www.theguardian.com/society/2022/mar/01/the-hidden-life-of-a-courier-13-hour-days-rude-customers-and-big-dreams
    • Can bet the Co Op is nearing its exit soon. At those prices you might as well buy at waitrose!
    • I dont get complaining if nothing is broken? If you dont like the parcel service just buy your products elsewhere which ship with a different company. simple fix🤷‍♀️
