Extra loud fireworks display

Does anyone know which charming people decided to have a massive and extra loud firework display tonight and for what reason?

Alleyns of course (celebrating 400 years, or something). Who else would put on a late evening firework display with little thought for the hundreds of families with sleeping young children close by?

Alleyns have history with this sort of thing. They did something similar on a Sunday night when opening their new theatre.

I had thought or at least hoped there was some kind of control over noise at that level? I had also thought you could get low noise fireworks these days? If the school, would they need council permission for something like this? It just feels incredibly ill judged.

Thought it was ace! Had a great view of an incredible display out my window. Me and my dog enjoyed it very much. Not like they?re doing it every week is it!

Regardless of whether you loved it- 10pm is a really antisocial time for fireworks to go off in a residential area. It?s been dark for hours and they could have done them earlier!

So me and my girlfriend were having a romantic quiet night in watching lethal weapon 2 when the gunfire of the high octagon shoot out scene was interrupted but loud noises. To our surprise there was a larger fireworks display happening in what we can assume was the private school down the road. The noise was so loud we it drowned out the gunfire in our shoot out scene. How upsetting.

Actually it was pretty impressive we have no animals and a great vantage point. Quite an enjoyable display.

Feel for you guys with pets - not nice to have them freak out! Guess a bit of warning would have been nice!

What time?s the first time plane due? That?s what I?d call antisocial.

Would have been nice for them to do it earlier and let the local neighbourhood know this was going to happen so we could have kept pets indoors and prepared our kids to either enjoy it or not be scared by it.

It's the lack of warning. When something is that loud I think people need to know in advance. Why does it have to be that loud? The long term damage this sort of event can cause to pets is immense.

We are in Croxted Rd and it sounds too close to be Alleyns... Thank god it?s finished, dogs not happy!
