The time North Korean commandoes tried to assasinate the South Korean president.

"And it was all going to plan until the afternoon of January 19, when the infiltrators accidentally came upon four woodcutters. A debate ensued among the North Koreans; an ill-fated decision was made. Rather than kill the South Koreans, ensuring their silence, the commandos lectured them for four hours. A communist revolution, they argued with ideological zest, was coming soon to the south. The civilians were sent on their way with a grim warning: tell the authorities and we?ll kill your families.

The woodcutters went to the police immediately."

Military incompetence is always worth a snigger.

"The emus easily outran the truck and led it over such rough terrain that the gunner didn't even manage a single shot. The chase ended when the truck crashed through a fence, because at that point the universe was just throwing Looney Tunes tropes at them. Having had their share of humiliation, the weary soldiers had no option but to admit defeat after a week's combat. The score: 10,000 fired rounds and less than 1,000 dead emus"

You'll keep an eye and see which is more accurate?! Seriously?!

    • To be fair, a pot of tea for one in a department store is a small pot, and you only get one cup or mug!
    • I know - we have been here lots of times since it first opened,  which is why we were disappointed that it was closed at a time it was supposed to be open, but with no notice to say why! I guess we will just  have to ask the reason at our next visit, but I'm not sure we will risk Saturday lunchtime again unless we find the closure  was an unavoidable one off ....
    • Nope. I don’t have this wrong. I’ve tried to put my point across respectfully, without resorting to personal, angry insults. And all my colleagues agree that the BBC got this right in its condemnation.    All you see is confirmation bias.    If you don’t realise that, then you’re part of the problem.
    • We have always gone during the week at lunch time - great place and good value. Husband has been several times on his own and owner knows his first name. I could not go one time for some reason and she sent him home with some spring rolls (free)
