First time we've had both kids asleep so we actually got to pay undivided attention to it.

La Piba and I both had goose bumps, I reckon the crowd put an extra bit of fuel in all their tanks, legendary stuff that I'm sure young kids will have wonderful glowing memory of it like I did of ovett, Coe, wells and Daley Thompson back in the day.

Particularly liked that the lap of honour included all the heptathletes in that group; reminded me of D. Thompson sitting around and joking with other decathletes while watching one of them high-jump or prepare to pole-vault.

Fantastic night of athletics last night!

Fair play Andy Murray, I've never been his biggest fan, so I'm not going to suddenly do a u turn, but he was impressive. He also seemed so much more relaxed, probably because the spotlight isn't totally on him as it is with Wimbledon.

Hope he and Laura win the doubles later.

Also because the Olympics isn't the pinnale of the tennis calendar, unlike most other sports at the Olympics. So I guess he doesn't get as worked up as he usually does.
