Onion seller in SE22

I refer to the presumably French onion seller outside the butcher's shop, complete with 'Allo 'Allo style bike and onions on strings. He was also on the other side of the road on a corner a bit earlier. Is he new? Nero

I noticed him when I was on the bus, he is rather dishy too! Is he connected with Moxon/Moxtons? or whatever they are called since they sell sticks of bread, cheese etc outside?

Whilst out running with a friend last night we saw Mr. Onion man outside a house on Heber Road. It was about 7.30pm, and his bike was loaded with onions.....must not have sold many that day.

I saw him in the village rather a lot over the last couple of summers especially outside the pub in the late afternoons, perfectly lovely chap with some superb onions! Glad to see he has strayed into ED

mais oui, I was queuing outside William Rose on Saturday and he came up to me and asked, "would you like to try my sweet pink onions?"

what red blooded female could refuse? he gave me three and I am going to cook them this evening - apparently they caramelise nicely
