Monsieur with this beret-clad, walking stereotype, you are really spoiling us.

I refer to the presumably French onion seller outside the butcher's shop, complete with 'Allo 'Allo style bike and onions on strings. He was also on the other side of the road on a corner a bit earlier. Is he new? Nero

    • You might be right. I have a memory of street performers on a warm sunny day in Lordship Lane, but maybe it was the Xmas Cracker and it was just one of those stunning Decmber days where the sun is very bright in blue skies and 15*C feels warm for Winter
    • Saturday's  was a total non event, sadly. I don't recall Summer events in North Cross Road similar to the Christmas Cracker. I imagine Christmas draws more people to the shops there than Summer.
    • Sounds good. We used to have the ED Christmas Cracker which was similar and a great community event. Was there once a similar event in summer too?   I walked all the way through the market on Saturday and had no idea there had been an event there until I saw this thread four days later.
