the-e-dealer
"Sweet spot of South London"Its a regular section about parts of London. Hope and Greenwood and concrete house pictures. Some of what it says sounds like it was researched on here! Its very positive about shops, schools, bars, pubs, restaurants. Even transport! monica
David that's what makes our community so great, the very essence of ED is that we communicate, we bond, we fight the good fight, we retaliate as a community. On here, on the Lane, off the Lane and everywhere around the lane. And that's why papers like the Metro and the Guardian, are very positive about places like ours. AAAHHH :) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/25223-very-positive-e-dulwich-piece-in-metro-today/#findComment-571069 Share on other sites
????
What also makes ED good is that there's no foooking tube and yet half the posters on What's ED missing threads say 'ooh a tube station'. Would completley change the character for the worse. PN33
Hmmm I'm looking at today's metro but can't find it? It was picked up by a colleague in Richmond so could be the different edition. What page? Mrs TP
I don't think it is a happy coincidence there are just plenty of media employees who live here and are able to 'big it up' in the press. Without being disloyal, other areas of London are v. similar to E.Dul as more professional families staying put as their kids growing up and going to secondary school (due to the recession and more job security / opportunities in London) rather than moving out and so local high streets are booming to support new demands.PS Quite happy with this just don't think ED is particularly different to plenty of other areas in London.
