Trolling can be a rewarding and satisfying pastime for many, but many inexperienced trollers made potentially fatal errors , that undermine their aims. heres are a few points for Prospective EDF trollers

DO ingratiate yourself in low key areas, such as family section or lost and found before embarking on a killer troll

DO cosy up to long term posters with messages of support in their utterly futile and invariably Wikipedia based arguments- this can pay dividends later

DO use the smiley face icon to show that you are open and honest when beginning the ingratiation stage

DONT invoke the "Clown" too early

DONT Show your hand and write in BLOCK CAPITALS

DONT use too many exclaimtion marks to make a point!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had a sleeper troll not too long ago.

I reckon U*T is lying low as we speak, ready to pounce, the equivalent of a silent but deadly fart...

Oh lord, I don't post as often as I used to!!!!!!!!!!!

Am I a troll?

  • 2 weeks later...

1. Don't forget your login/password.

2. Remember to occasionally contribute towards other threads on the forum rather than simply posting on your OWN thread. Especially if you have just moved to the area. Shows an interest in what's going on etc etc.

3. Choose an inconspicuous username. Preferably one showing erm...lack of imagination, such as real name+number combo. You get the idea.

4. Rinse & repeat.

Happy Trolling!!!!!!!!!

    • Many thanks to the woman who looked after our old deaf Miniature Schnauzer who got separated from us in the park this morning. And thank you to the man who alerted us . My husband is very relieved and grateful. If any one knows who these people are please say thank you as he didn't get their names.
    • why do we think we have the right for the elected local council to be transparent?
    • Granted Shoreditch is still London, but given that the council & organisers main argument for the festival is that it is a local event, for local people (to use your metaphor), there's surprisingly little to back this up. As Blah Blah informatively points out, this is now just a commercial venture with no local connection. Our park is regarded by them as an asset that they've paid to use & abuse. There's never been any details provided of where the attendees are from, but it's still trotted out as a benefit to the local community.  There's never been any details provided of any increase in sales for local businesses, but it's still trotted out as a benefit to the local community.  There's promises of "opportunities" for local people & traders to work at the festival, but, again, no figures to back this up. And lastly, the fee for the whole thing goes 100% to running the Events dept, and the dozens of free events that no-one seems able to identify, and, yes, you guessed it - no details provided for by the council. So again, no tangible benefit for the residents of the area.
    • I mean I hold no portfolio to defend Gala,  but I suspect that is their office.  I am a company director,  my home address is also not registered with Companies House. Also guys this is Peckham not Royston Vasey.  Shoreditch is a mere 20 mins away by train, it's not an offshore bolt hole in Luxembourg.
