Three network

Anyone on here had a phone on the three network in ED? thinking of getting one but worried about quality of reception in ED?

you are right to be worried, it's not good.

i can't use my mobile in my house and the 3G network often drops in town even when signal is full strength.

I can't recommend it.

I have been on three for years and live in east dulwich as all my children and they don,t complain.

I would say it is ok

I live towards Peckham Rye side of ED and am on Three and don't get reception in most parts of my house and frequently not when out locally either so can't recommend it.

thanks guys..they're the cheapest out there for the iphone5 but I think I'll stick with 02 which I can report is very good!

bemused if you are still 'in contract', 3 sho0uld issue you with some sort of device that goes on your wifi box to improve the signal free of charge. If you doget one, can you let me know whether it works as I am having the same problem. Thanks

I've been with t-mobile for years, and have no complaints. Other mobile service providers a available, and some really reward loyalty. My wife and daughter are on 3 network, and you will get pestered by upgrade offers from third parties.

Customer Service from 3 is absolutely awful; I will be moving from them as soon as my contract expires.

I use Three for their mobile broadband which is fine here, but can't wait to switch to another network who can offer a decent 4G service in ED once it starts.

Have you decided if you want to get the phone on contract or pay as you go? Over two years it's quite a lot cheaper to do the pay as you go option (?180 based on the tariffs I've compared against). It also means you can stay flexible about the tariff which makes most sense for you.

I've chosen Three's ?12.90 per month payg tariff as it gives unlimited internet, but will switch back to GiffGaff (who use O2's network and charge ?10 per month for the same) when they've worked out how to produce nano SIMs. Happy to discuss further if that's helpful, but I'm aware that I * might * have spent too much time thinking this through!
