anyone tried this through the peckham branch ?

if you order on-line is it definitely Peckham you can arrange to collect at, or could you end-up collecting half of what you ordered there and then being told to got to (ie.) Basildon for the remainder ?

Is there a lead-time by which you need to order (so Peckham branch can ensure they have the stock) ?

Any tips appreciated.

Do you mean the online reservation service? If so, I use this everytime I use Argos.

They base the reservation on current stock levels so will only tell you what is in stock at the time of the order, so it should slways be in that store if they say it is, it's always worked for me, they will reserve until the end of the next day.

If it's not the reservation service that you mean, I apologise!

Reserve on line, use reservation number and card to pay at express point whn you visit Argos (ie self serve),

go to appropriate collection point A, B or C or in reality the desk...collect you item.

If you reserve online and are provided with a reservation number, the item will def be available until date mentioned in text/email reply.

Thanks for answers.

OK so when you select items you'll have already stated (somewhere on the website) which branch you're intending to pick-up from ?

(otherwise they cannot know they have the stock, cos you haven't said where youre gonna collect).

Sorry to add a negative to this positive thread, but I recently pre-ordered a winnie-the-pooh hard bound book as a gift to take along to a naming ceremony and they did not honour the reservation when i called in to collect it. As this was a couple of hours before the naming ceremony and Rye Lane isn't the best for nice kiddy gifts, I was not best pleased.

    • Reading this sort of stuff - it's tiring. It's a weird focus on marginal English politics instead of the mainstream and instead of UK politics. How do you use 4 ex-Labour MPs getting elected an example of a supposed trend but ignore the election of 411 Labour MPs in the same election? How do you waffle on for several hundred words about the prospects of new left parties without mentioning what's been happening in this area for the last 20 years in Scotland and Wales?
    • This new movement seems great.  great ideas. But they’re just an opposition party they’re like a subsection of the Labour Party - so perfectly suited to Corbyn - his inspirational rhetoric can only be uttered in opposition.  Power would not suit him - that would require hard decisions that’s not his style, strength or skill
