Hey everyone, I hope you're all doing well and that Nico recovers soon. We had an incredible time with the grandparents and trying to get back into real life, which is hard after five weeks of holiday. Isabella's got a cold, sore ears etc. etc. making it extra fun to be back to winter but the bits of sunshine here and there have been most welcome! Was hoping to meet today but Isabella's not been a happy chappy. Definitely keen to meet up next week and catch up with everyone, really looking forward to seeing how all the little ones are growing! Xxxx


P.S keen to do drinks soon too, perhaps a Friday night this time so we have a bit more help the next day :) xx

Good morning Spring 2014 Babies,


I'm just dropping into your thread to remind you that the monthly "ED Birthtalk" session is coming up on Thursday evening. This month we will be discussing Induction, so if you feel that this is something that interests you and you'd like to sit & chat about it with some others over tea/coffee/cake & biccies then please feel free to come along. The discussions are usually lively and interesting, everyone is welcome, and there's no charge. What's not to like :D

Hi all, hope you & babies are fine. How was Peckham soft play the other week- worth another trip?

We have swimming on Thursday mornings now & Cleo was so tired afterwards we went straight home, but am hoping we'll be able to come out this afternoon if there's a plan. Is anyone meeting up? Maybe the Peckham one o'clock club?

Only night I can't do for a night put is 29 March :)

Hey Susie & all,

I'm hoping the sun will be shining again today and thought it would be nice to go to the park with the babies anyhow. Rosie & I can generally get to peckham rye park for 1:30/2:00pm. I know baby sensories would rather meet around 1? Maybe we could start there and poss sit outside if warm enough and take babies to the swings. Or Dulwich park is lovely too. Who else is around? Yes, for drinks out I was going to suggest Friday 4th April?? Hope to see you all later. Steph you're of course welcome to join us once you've moved round here! Nat & Rosie xx

Sorry, I have been very busy lately. I'd love to meet today around 01:30. We could go to the stay and play in Peckham Rye and go for a walk at the park after. Or I could go to dulwhich park if you prefer.

Hope you're all well ? Defo up for meeting this afternoon after 1 pm. Unfortunately can't make the 4th as I have a wedding but go ahead and I can come another time. Can't believe it'd nearly going back to work time - boo!

I'm on my way back to Peckham from swimming- I'll head to the cafe in Peckham park for lunch if anyone wants to join me. I'll be there at about 1. Then maybe see some of you in the park for walk/soaking up the sun :)

Can head to the picnic no-dogs area after lunch, if it's not too waterlogged!

Been struggling to get Rebecca down for a nap and still babbling away so looks like I may miss you guys. If she has a short one I'll venture out and see if you are still around. Otherwise if anyone fancies a Coffee or walk this afternoon let me know. Laura and Rebecca x

So we have finally hopefully sorted out a date for our next night out.

Friday 21st march - probably somewhere on lordship lane ?

Hopefully this is good for all as it was really fun at Christmas and being a Friday means most of us will get some help with the babies the next day! Steph and Laura would be great if you can join us?

Hello everyone! I hope you don't mind me writing this late but I just discovered this thread and I would love to meet other mums in Peckham Rye/East Dulwich - I live off Bellenden Road. I am due on 12th March (not long!) so I could come along alone or with the little one when she arrives. If anyone is going for a walk or meeting for a coffee anywhere, I would be happy to join in.       its based on the income  the [to be x] freeholder will lose - ie the ground rent and any service charges. Unless D Estate follows different laws to everybody else.

      Hi everyone. I’m currently in the process of buying a house on the Dulwich Estate with ~86 years left on the lease. I’ve found it quite hard to get clear information online about the realistic cost of buying the freehold from the Dulwich Estate. I was wondering if anyone here has experience dealing with the Dulwich Estate and, if so, roughly how much it cost to purchase the freehold. I know it will vary depending on the property, but even a ballpark figure would be really helpful so we can decide whether the purchase makes sense for us. Thanks very much in advance.

      Victorian gas outlet??? Any advice?

      It looks like a tap for the gas lighting that used to be found in those homes. The little tap would regulate the flow of gas to give a brighter or dimmer lamp. It's probably not part of any gas feed now and you can check that for yourself by following the gas pipework from your meter (which should only run to the kitchen to supply a boiler and cooker). Next time you have your boiler serviced, ask the engineer to have a look for you.

      Another strong recommendation from me from Peckham Rye area. Paul sent Damian to sort out our tripping sockets. We’d had another electrician come and try to fix it a couple of weeks earlier who was not good, but Damian was extremely thorough and methodical in diagnosing the issue and fixing it. He tested every socket to make sure the problem was sorted. He arrived bang on time and talked me through exactly what he was finding and how the problem had likely come about as he went. Very polite, friendly and excellent value for money. Wouldn’t hesitate to call them again if we need an electrician. Great team,  great service!
