It certainly is.

Yesterday morning, I was feeling little blue. The cold weather. The short days. The uncertainty of a future in this modern world of ours - with all its changes and challenges.

But the amazing news that our heavily-balding king-in-waiting has successfully inseminated his missus has really lifted me out of the doldrums. Today, I want to dance with a stranger in the street. To laugh, hug and cry all at the same time. Thank you, William and Kate. Thank you.

Good for you, I hope that all pans out for you.

Everyone has suspected that the royal gloves have been off for some time now. And (coming from such good stock) it can come as no surprise that these most royal of family jewels have struck ovum gold in record time.

That said, we should all try to remember that - putting aside the Bentleys, ermine, received pronunciation and bodyguards - the beating heart of this story is simply that of a young couple in love, doing what young couples in love do best.

I wonder how many people have been present the same time as Prince William at any venue.

I have been at many, he just is one of those there expecting no special attention.

He has been from birth groomed to be King, had to serve in the forces, so has a good idea of what goes on.

Having experiance of those Elected to high office of non qualified persons, ( Boris comes to mind ) who would be the better choice?

The new child will again have its future set out for it from now on, very little choice of what it wants.

Would you like to have your entire future programmed for your life.

I hope that the new baby will have a long and healthy life and become loved by those who will be under its protection.

He drinks in the Prince Arthur, Shorty. Just his little joke, obvs. That's why they had to put up the anti-drugs leaflets in the windows recently, in case Guy Pelly's crowd turned up and started in on the nose powder in the VIP area (pool table).

I can see your point computed but the royals have a choice once they reach adulthood. They don't have to take the throne, can abdicate etc. But given that everything is an accident of birth, I judge the monarch and cohorts by what they do rather than what they have. I personally would be bored by a life of diplomatic excursions (which is essentially what the Queen's life entails).

Bringing the future monarch into the world sounds like it is going to be jolly hard work for La Duchesse and probably not what she signed up for. There would always be the possibility she could have the same thing again so wonder how keen she would be to pop out another one.

I have no fondness for them, but I cannot understand the media city camped outside the hospital for someone who is going through. I really think it the should be banned from being there. It's incredibly intrusive when you aren't feeling well.

Got a message back within a day to say medication ordered from chemist.

    • Oh give it a break.  We have an MP who makes racist comments, yet our media (and what seems like this Forum) that generally hate Labour (and loved Johnson) are just out looking for the dirt. It's a move on, nothing to see here.  Particularly if she used a letting agency.
