Are you planning to leave before or after you develop the Victorian house into luxury flats? Many people would consider such development equally detrimental to ED's 'vibe'. Have you sought Fred R's views, for example?

They probably serve lukewarm coffee due to their American-style hyper sensitivity to people sueing them if they scald themselves on a properly hot drink.


I have no idea how much truth there is to the rumour that Starbucks may be eyeing up Lordship Lane.


But I agree with those who say - vote with your purse - make sure you buy from independent shops/businesses if you value their continued presence in the area. And should there be some kind of campaign to keep out larger chains - then back it.

    • Yes, I think people who don’t use their food waste bin are less likely to vote Lib Dem or Green or Labour as they think it’s a woke type of thing to do, like solar panels and other renewables.

    • I expect that they consider it should be a free choice what to do with your waste, and that segregating it is a waste of money, no doubt it's all a woke conspiracy.  I expect that others are more up to speed with Reform policies. I should have asked Nigel when I was drinking with him.  Well within the vicinity of him in Westminster pubs a couple of times.
