I think thats a good rule to live by. I always say when it comes to money there is family and there is business, there is no such thing as friends.

I don't drink on a school night, it's way easier than the whole GIVING UP malarky.

Certainly made the weekend more fun. Oh, and then I knocked Sunday drinking at home on the head.

Which leaves Saturday as yeahhhh-have another-one-nite. Plus I tend to buy a much better quality wine for that.

I think if you do really have something to give up, then dissemble it into smaller parts and deal with those. But if there's booze, drugs issues then seek professional help elsewhere. Google the Quantum Project in Lewisham if you're need.

Not sure about the whole January thing tho, seems a bit Catholic to me.

    • Sean at the bottom of Barry Road is great. Free Lidl lager, BBC6 and a top haircut. He used to be a ladies' hairdresser, so he can use the scissors as well as the clippers. The only barber in the area, since Ken (RIP) closed, that didn't try to make me look like a Lithuanian doorman.
    • Another recommendation for Garry. He has recently installed a new boiler for a friend of mine (who isn't on this forum) but has been singing his praises & would like me to leave a review on her behalf. Polite, professional & punctual is what she said & will be her new plumber/gas man from now on : )  Garry 07882642799
