Sweet Mr Mikewbate,

I am so sorry I have been rather busy at work. If I had known you were up to your usual scamp type behaviour - I would obviously have called wonderful Mr Batdog to set about your person - perhaps tearing out your end trails, or maybe thrown a small explosive device in your direction.

Will you please accept my sincere apology for neglecting you on this occasion?

*Well, bygones DM - just this time mind - I was all up for another Benny Hill style chase around the Lounge with the wretched Batdog dangling from my nethers*

*Are you coming to the drinkie DM? Are you bringing Ana? Mrs Dobbin's lactation is beyond a joke and she is eating my runner bean plants on the balcony*

Ignore them for God's sake. The type of person who is being horrible on a blog would not have the bottle to even utter a word in public, they're all too two faced for that! *Remembers that this is The Quiet Room and stops speaking very loud... Makes apologetic gestures to inhabitants of the room*

    • Charity shops have really good board books, especially St Christopher's
    • It was indeed in the vicinity of DKH. I live on the ED estate and I could tell it must be close by because of the noise. When I left my house this morning I found the culprits litter still in the middle of the st. It looked like they had lit a whole box on fire in the middle of the road. My cat jumped out of her skin. I’ll try and report it on Southwark website same as I have had to with other illegal use this week. Any other ideas for what we can do with the photos? Maybe one of the Southwark councillors. It’s outrageous and dangerous behaviour.
    • Had another great meal there…. those that haven’t tried it, give it a go.. have a special lunch menu as well so you can get a flavour of the food.
    • If you "cotton on" and read the council announcement, it clearly states "The library will be closed from 17 November until late June or early July 2026."  https://www.southwark.gov.uk/2025/dulwich-library-closing-refurbishment
