*opens door slowly, it creaks loudly, brushes aside cobwebs in darkness, lights match, finds oil lamp, lights and looks around at dusty, musty room. Suddenly notices pair of Churches' brogues,soles upwards (hole in left) attached to legs - the rest hidden under July 19th edition of Telegraph. Kicks right one.

James (my darling husband) has just staggered through the front door, off a plane from Mumbai. I shall strap my Slendertone machine onto him while he is sleeping off his jet lag. Don't you just adore a man with pert abs?

Whatever you want to call it I can't but help notice an alarming similarity in Daniel Craig and Russian Prime Minister/Gangster Vladimir Putin.


I'll let you be the judge of whether Mr Craig will mature into the mirror image of the former KGB spymaster.

It was O.K, but you've raised an interesting point Keef (for me anyway). If, given the choice, whose drugs would you prefer to steal? Those of a Serbian war criminal or those belonging to Vladimir Putin. Keeping in mind that if you stole anything from Putin whether it be several million pounds worth of ecstacy tablets or his last Rolo, you'd have probably THE most dangerous and determined hit squad after the blood of you and your family.

      I go there quite regularly (don't ask), on my own behalf and as a chauffeur for family. I have never noted people parking up, going in and then straight out again once registered. Some times of day (and some days) are much busier than others, as you might expect, especially during winter vaccination season.

      There are a lot of car parking spaces - in order for them to all be filled, it would suggest a local event rather than unrelated shoppers. Does the surgery have records of when the it's full? presume there is some sort of management of it. Perhaps there is a correlation to local activity or a pattern.

      I think there needs to be better oversight of this carpark, if it is being misused. A few large fines might help....
