you want to try it more often asset, never a light on in our gaff in the evening, except for the box,a few candles and the glow of the fire. im forever stubbing my feet on things but hey its worth it.

not that easy when trying to get dinner on the go and keep the kids happy. As it is most of our lights are energy saving bulbs and unnecessary lights are usually off. we're pretty good on energy saving in this household - stingy you see.

As the peeps who have organised the earth hour say it's more of a symbolic gesture. By all accounts other cities have really gone to town with it (scuse the pun)

Got my bill from nPower for gas the other day. Given that we were away for a good few weeks of the billing period when we turn the heating right down, and that the boiler was kaput for another three weeks, it was an expensive bill. So, I got my roof lagged for ?274 quid and am expecting a ?100 cashback voucher soon, and I filled the cracks in my floorboards with Gapseal (fantastic stuff) and am switching off the heating and water earlier. My motivation is getting more money in my wallet as I hate the idea of giving it away for no good reason to a huge organisation. Nero

    • I’d also recommend Paul for electrical work. He came round the other week to help us out with a handful of jobs (installing an SPD, new light fittings, installing a dimmer switch, a bathroom fan). His quote was cheaper than what I got from others, he turned up on time and he got the job done quickly.
    • We’d like to add our recommendation for Lukasz and team at L&L Building & Maintenance.  Lukasz has recently installed a roof terrace for us, and we’ve found him a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We contacted about a dozen recommended builders and found his quote very competitive. During the build his team delivered quality work, they were no hassle in the house at all and they kept the place tidy every day. The terrace looks great, and we’re very happy customers. What stood out in particular was Lukasz’s responsiveness, right from discussing quotes to follow-up during the build. Lukasz often checked in and was always available when we needed him.  We’ll definitely contact Lukasz again for future building work and we’d happily recommend him to others looking for a reliable builder.   Lukasz Kugaczewski L&L Building & Maintenance 07926651960 [email protected] www.landl-build.com
    • Yes, I did mention the train, which I now get from East Dulwich to Guys instead of the 40. Depends where in East Dulwich you are starting from which route is easiest! I think it is probably lack of staff rather than lack of hospitals which is the problem?
    • What can be done? How about reporting it to the police?
