Thanks so much for coming yesterday! It was great that so many came and I hope you all enjoyed the night, even if the film was a bit intense!

I'll post the next date on here soon so you can save the night if you'd like to come again.

I'll make sure I book a table at The Rye for afterwards for anyone that would like to eat.

Sorry to cross post, Louisa, but just to remind peeps that there are forum drinks arranged for a week on Saturday (11 May). It would be lovely if any of you fancy coming along.

I seem to have ended up arranging this months & am petrified I'll be sat there alone....!! ;)

Hi everyone,


We are going to be really adventurous and relocate from the usual Peckham Plex on the 8th June.


The Big Issue Magazine are putting on their Big Noise Festival at the Bussey Building/CLF Arts Cafe in Peckham. It looks fantastic and I felt it was important to join in with a community/charity event!!


It's on from 2pm to 4am and has some really cool events, including Film! [www.thebignoisefestival.com]


A few of us have booked tickets already - it's ?8 for an early bird ticket so get them before they sell out if you want to come!


I'll post something on the forum about where we can meet etc nearer the time.


Sorry if any of you were looking forward to a night at the Peckham Plex. I'll organise one of these nights very soon after the 8th.

The event starts in Peckham at 2pm, so let's meet 1pm in the Rye Pub.

If some of you would like to meet later on at the Bussey Building, just send me a PM and I'll make sure you have my mobile number so we can meet up.


For any new members who'd like to come, everyone is really welcome! This is only our 3rd meeting and it has always been a really good laugh so don't be shy! We normally meet at the Rye pub and watch a film at the Peckham Plex, but next Saturday will be a bit different......

Looking forward to seeing you all at The Rye Pub tomorrow - Sat 8th June at 1pm!Make sure you've booked your ticket online before hand! We'll leave the pub just before 2pm to head down to the big noise festival at the Bussey Building, Peckham. Thanks to everyone for coming to Film Club at the Bussey Building yesterday. Really good organisation from the Big Issue Foundation to put so many great acts on all day and night!


The next Film Club meet up will be on Saturday 20th July in the evening. Save the date and I'll keep you posted on the plan of action.

      This is quite a serious allegation. What evidence is there of this? Pressured how and by whom? This is quite a spin on ‘it’s been agreed with the emergency services’. They think the vehicles pictured driving through with partially covered plates are the result of ‘poor signage’ 🤔  If it is as they say ‘small numbers’ driving through the square, that doesn’t suggest that the signage is unclear. I mean who honestly believes it’s possible to drive through there without noticing the signs / planters (assuming you’re driving with due care and attention)?! 🤨  Also, haven’t ‘One’ opposed any improvements to the layout / landscaping and signage proposed by Southwark? It’s all a bit desperate. At the height of the LTN ‘controversy’ a number of co-ordinated ‘One’ groups popped up across London. It doesn’t feel like a local grassroots movement, but has all the hallmarks of astroturfing. The lack of transparency about it’s funding / sponsorship and structure does not help with this impression.
