Also just moved to E.Dulwich a few days ago (26). Don't know anyone here..

Managed to get a parking ticket after leaving my car outside my house for 6mins :S. Is it me or is 120 pounds a bit excessive??!!

Someone should organise a small gathering for new members of E.Dulwich community. Sort of like they do at health clubs (new members nights) :-)

I feel tempted to meet some strangers too...The open mic thing sounds cool ;)

btw, I am 26, foreign, lived in uk for about...gosh 8 years alltogether...In london for 9 month and ED since January

Will never want to move out of ED. After travelling a bit I feel I found somewhere I can call home. My feet stopped itching. Quite a nice feeling

Working too far so I have no time for the gym.I can always find time for a few drinks though...

My Bf is 31, totally british. loves football. will not go near a forum:)

Anyways, didn't feel the need to leave our cave since I discovered the forum... Guess a bit of socialising will not do us any harm;)

Will keep an eye on the thread...

No, it's a fair cop Moos.

I'd been on nights and made the mistake of drinking after only a couple of hours sleep. I went from animated chatter to slurry nonsense in record time even for me (bit of a light weight). Great night though.

Cannoni, you should definitely come along to some of the social stuff, it's fun!

Hey all

I would love to let me know when the next event is and I will put it in the diary.

Things are a little mad over the next couple of months as I am in yorkshire for a couple of weeks and I am in America for the greater percentage of June, But there is always time for drink and social chit chat.

    • Other posters are entitled to their views and there will inevitably be opposing views, that is the beauty of the forum.   The issue for many of us is that year on year we would prefer that a large and popular section of the park is not taken out of use for weeks on end, does not have to undergo significant remedial work each time or undergo unnecessary tree lopping to accommodate event structures,  and does not have its ornamental aspect impacted at the height of summer, when all of us would like to enjoy it. If the impact of the event was literally only for three days, that would be different. As it is, we are talking weeks and months. There is also the question of long-term impact on substructure and wildlife, who knows... Many thanks to Peckham Rose for raising matters with the event organisers and Southwark Council events.
    • Greg built me a utility cupboard and some extra shelving in a wardrobe. He was quick to respond and good at communicating. He easily understood what I was wanted and had some ideas to make it even better. The quality of the work is high and the cost was reasonable. Would recommend.
    • Looking at those fixtures I realise how little I follow international football.
    • Who knows what the motivations might be? Thought your comment about 2012 membership has, therefore, no relevance at all. The way I view all of your comments actually. 🤓
