Can't see 72 ever being a possibility unless we decide to have an early-week session (oh but the sounds!)

Quite a few people live over the Rye side of Dulwich anyway so I would say that the Rye Hotel or Nun's Head or even the new place (Village?) over that way would be eminently reachable/do-able/suitable. If it means less people (and I'm not convinced it does) then one upside is being able to talk to more people - when there are upwards of 35 people it's impossible to talk to a fraction of the people one would like to...

But that's for the NEXT time - the Mag has been chosen so let's not restart that debate... don't want the organising commitee to have a fit ;-)

Hi all

Either of those strategies would work, but the smart newbie would have a look at pictures of the last gathering http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?20,113115,page=1 before heading to the next one.

On the night you just approach the first person you recognise from the pictures. Also, hours of fun to be had speculating about who is who in the pictures, unless you're dorky enough to have been caught with your label on :-$ (those labels have got to go by the way!)

I did not realise the name tags were so offensive to you annaj.

I brought them along to make it easier for the newbies (er me) to recognise other forumistas, it was not intended to embarrass anyone and I apologise to you, and all the others who may have been labelled against their wishes.

I certainly haven't held a gun to anyones head to comply with the wearing of them.

I thought for the couple of hours which we are together it might help us all to remember more names and faces of people.

If the consensus of opinion is to scratch the use of name tags, I will immediately stop this potentially, unseemly obnoxious practice.

    • Beglfire I start, I have a lot of respect for Doctors and owe my life to them after various mishaps over the years.  I am however getting a jaded view of them continuing to run the strike ballot next week in the middle of what is turning into a bad winter for the NHS. Of course they may vote to not strike, but personally feel it is irresponsible timing to consider it as hospitals are already struggling.  Today the BMA warned of scaremongering over the current flu outbreak (BBC News - BMA warns of flu 'scaremongering' ahead of doctor strikes - BBC News https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c5y22yzl6y6o) but just seeing how many people I know are going down with it, that feels like poor spin by the BMA. How do others feel ?
    • We have also used Niko the plumber, he was great, fixed both of our leaking toilets and was also super helpful with advice about the shower leaking.
    • Full size fiddle case needed... doesn't have to be posh!    Thanks for reading!
    • I used Leon yesterday. He was responsive and professional - even giving advice - and his costs are reasonable. Would recommend.
