Great tune Sean. If I saw that film once when I was a student I saw it....(you get the idea). Great stoner film and the rest of the soundtrack is quite cool as well:

Gypsy Kings - Hotel California

What I actually wanted to put on was this though (because I saw the Wonder Years for the first time in ages yesterday):

Joe Cocker - With A Little Help From My Friends

A band you will never have heard of - Panama Kings

Saw them play a showcase gig in February - ended up giving them a lift back to digs afterwards. Touted as Belfast's biggest new band. Headlining The Windmill in Brixton on Saturday. I predict they will be massive.

East Dulwich library have the 1001 greatest albums(who voted them that I have no idea)for rent(alongside a weighty tome entitled the 1001 greate...you get the drift) Their 2 for 1 as well so an ideal time to fill in the voids in your musical catalogue. Not that I'm advocating you burn them off or anything...God forbid.

Someone has posted a fabulous Soulwax remix of this on another thread and I gotta admit I like it but you just can't beat the original so I thought I'd put this up to redress the balance.

An all-time favourite of mine.

You Can't Always Get What You Want - The Rolling Stones

Ha, I remember going down to Bristol a fews ago for a small festival being headlined by Robert Plant. He played some new shite that no one was interested in, before sending the crowd mad with Whole lotta love. I remember my friend and I being impressed, as his backing band were basically the guys from Portishead, and we didn't think they had it in them (no disrespect at all to their music, I'm a fan). Perhaps the experience has influenced them somewhat... >:D<

I'll probably be getting the new Portishead album anyway. That scratching sounds oddly dated now though doesn't it.

Had to put this on...A little mini opera this. F**k they good. From '68 in all their pomp and some great windmill swinging guitar from Pete Townsend.

Not to mention the King and Queen 🤢"  Starmer dithers and is unable to make any decision and when he finally does he gets in massively wrong and duly backtracks. The guy is a liability and clown who the country needs rid off before he taxes us to heaven whilst bankrupting the country.  And as he's flying in and around Windsor for two days, I do hope they've got the skies covered as he's a sitting duck.
    • I assumed that the noise was from Heathrow planes - until the power outage in March that brought everything to a standstill. I still heard plane noise during that time - seems like it's City Airport planes. I wonder whether flight times and patterns can be adapted during the early hours before 6am to minimise noise pollution (e.g. slightly later times and not flying so low).
    • I was replying to Jazzer, who said it wasn't going to change Trump's presence here. However, you are also obviously right, and also  nothing will change Trump for the better. And yes, this could be counter productive. But I'm sure the silver tongued Keir Starmer will be able to smooth things over. Not to mention the King and Queen 🤢  I think it's right that people should feel able to make their feelings known. It appears to be  a peaceful and well planned demonstration, and presumably they won't be bringing out the Baby Trump inflatable again, which must be well deflated by now.
    • Its a few years ago now, but I organised my end of year prom (for year 13) at Off the Cuff in Herne Hill - was on the cheaper side to rent and at that age, felt very cool and clubby. I had my own 18th at Whirled Cinema in Loughborough Junction but I'm not sure if they take event bookings like that anymore
