How come GB crowed on about his mastery of the economy when the global boom was driving it upwards but now "its a global crisis" and nothing to do with us mate.....

Believe it or not I was up there jumping around to MPeople celebrating 11 years ago - they have completley proved themselves as unopen, useless, dishonest and corrupt as the Tories were.

about two years to a general election so time for a wake up call. This is a kick up the nighties for Gordo B but methinks(mehopes)that people will get a little bit of perspective and realise just how wrong it would be to go back to Tory values. All that euphoric celebration when Blair got in was not for nothing.

I didn't do any of that euphoria nonsense. I always thought he was a charlatan and a wrong'un.

This lot have betrayed everything they claimed to stand for pretty much since day one.

I've no love of the Tories, but I'd rather see them back in than allow this lot any more time in power.

I think time out of power has done them good, and hopefully getting Labour getting kicked out of office will allow some time for introspection and re-finding what it is they are supposed to be about, which isn't supposed to be courting power for power's sake.

    • Yes, thanks, that's true, the previous information on here might be out of date even if I could find it. I was hoping someone on here might have up to date info. I will phone them in the morning.  I had a previous thread on here about the Oxfam book shop but for various reasons I haven't been able to get stuff down there, and now I just want it out of the way.
    • Best to call them. What might have been the case last week may not be now. There's also Oxfam book shop in HH
    • Because it's easier to ask on here than have to make a special trip out when I'm very busy and also expecting deliveries 🙄 And then possibly have to go out again with the books. And I thought I remembered a previous discussion on here. Isn't that what a local forum's for?
    • Our very large apartment in a converted industrial building in the area is very unusual so we are keen to find a really good local estate agent who may have experience  in marketing and selling unique properties in the area and who  can 'think outside the box' . We already know of all the agents who deal in unusual properties throughout London (ie not just in this area)  eg 'The Modern House' etc etc. thanks for any tips!
