Today I mainly ate Skittles.

I also looked at Pet of the Day in the London Paper (my secret daily wallow in sentimentalism - skip the earthquake in China, straight to the fluffies). Today it was a Samoyed dog who likes looking after his friend, a blind tortoiseshell cat. I nearly blubbed.

and that's about it I think..

I have made a fresh fruit salad...all that chopping is a great way of procrastinating;

now I am listening to Streisand's Greatest Hits which is a great source of distraction - it takes great concentration to sing both the Neil Diamond and Bab's parts of You Don't me Flowers Anymore.

I've written four paragraphs so far today...good job I'm not writing a sequel to War and Peace.

Oooh - gotta run, No More Tears, Enough is Enough is coming up....I've got a whole dance routine for that one.

    • Ian the guy who used to own the garage left last year. The place is run by someone else now. Ian was our reliable mechanic for many years, a sad loss. We now use Turners on Barry Road.
    • Agreed that Niko is really good: he was helpful and explained everything in detail, and did a good job fixing the problem I had. He was also honest rather than trying to drum up a bigger (more expensive) job for himself by telling me everything needed replacing etc. He charged a very reasonable rate. Will definitely call him when I need a plumber again and would recommend!
    • Sue, Sue, Sue Yes the bus stop at what was The Kings Arms I believe remains closed,  However the stops at the Heaton Arms (no youngster here) is open. Easiest way is a 63 or 363 to Peckham Hill street and change for the 78 which takes you directly to the front door or as good as.
    • I need to go to Asda in the Old Kent Road tomorrow. Theoretically I can get a 78 or 363 bus, but it looks as if the bus stop at East Dulwich Road/Peckham Rye may be closed. I don't know why, but I assume it may be due to gas or water works. Does anybody know if it is just this bus stop, or are other bus stops (or the routes) affected?  I don't want to get a nasty surprise tomorrow, as I have an appointment, so it's time critical.
