I'm looking forward to seeing pics of AnnaJ swinging a Barcardi Breezer bottle and screaming "I'll 'ave yeh".

obviously this is not a fair reprsentation of the Vale, its clientele or indeed AnnaJ...well, perhaps AnnaJ

Hhaaaaaaaaaaay! Not fair! :(

I haven't started a fight on a dance floor for ages....

Metric is fine for everything except a persons height. People being X metres tall is just wrong.

SteveT I have shared drinks with AnnaJ and shorty a few times.

Granted they told me to bugger off and leave their drinks alone but none the less?

I'm reminded of Oz comic Brendon Burn's routine about the futility of terrorist attacks on the UK

"these people want to convert Britain to Islam -

Britain, a predominantly white nation which has yet to convert to Christianity!

Britain, which has yet to convert to the f****** METRIC SYSTEM!"

Honestly - I know some people take pride in it and everything but it comes across to other countries as petulism

what is petulism?

indeed if one googles "petulism" the first entry is... me on the eastdulwichforum!

Glad to see someone else on somewhere called forumopolis got into the same pickle

Good point about the Vale charging entry for latecomers - has anyone spoken to them about that?

    • Sure - but to describe one councillor's hissy fit as a "fury" unrivalled by hell is a bit of an overstatement. Cllr Barber's attempt to hijack the moment by blaming austerity on Labour instead of the Lib Dem-Tory coalition is an amusing fumble too. It would have been better to keep quiet and enjoy the spectacle of Labour and ex-Labour councillors bickering. Labour is well-known for its ability to sustain internal catfights for years, if not decades!
    • Yes,  but as you said "at last" you had found a good reason not to vote for the greens, I wondered why you would want one. Plus it seemed (to me, at least) a very strange reason and didn't seem to have anything to do with the party's policies.
    • I also had a good experience with Andy, he was quick to respond and came out to resolve the issue at short notice. He was friendly and worked hard to find a solution to the problem with my tap which is now working like new again.
    • No, I clearly quoted you in my response; did you miss that? It’s obviously AI generated: any reasonable human being would be too ashamed to spin such arrant twadle.
