Where to get name labels?

Our little one is starting a nursery and we need to get lots of name labels for his clothes, shoes etc.

Where can I buy them from and what type would be the best to use? I am terrible at sewing so anything that doesn't involve sewing would be great.

We've found a super source for names labels on ebay. The labels are adhesive and washable and very cheap so we put them on everything from coats to pants! The seller is called n4u-online-shop, I've put a link to their labels below. We buy the "peel and stick" ones, but there are iron-on ones too. I can't sew to save my life and rarely get the iron out so this was a great find for us.

I bought Simply Stuck last year. https://www.simplystuck.com Their iron on plastic type labels lifted on some clothes, but the stick on labels for drinks etc have been brilliant.

Indelible laundry pen from mothercare! My daughter's first name is short so no problem fitting it onto the label already in the clothes.

I have used ://www.labels4kids.com (labels for kids) - I get the ones you stick on and they have really lasted. The good thing is, if you pass any clothes on quite easy to "tear" off. The website also sells arm bands etc you can fill in childs name and phone number, which can be useful if going to festivals or crowded places in summer ....

Another vote for a sharpie pen. I bought name labels and ironed them in. They all came out after a few washes and dries. Now I just write my son's name on the label in the garment and that does the trick and saves ironing/sewing.

I got all enthused with my eldest and ordered name tags, v quickly resorted to sharpie on any label in the garment. Quicker and easier! (Although obvs doesn't look as nice..;-))

This is an old thread but I spent an entire evening ironing on name labels and by now, half term, all but one have fallen off, most in the first wash. Sharpie (or even bog standard biro) is the way to go for us.
