Ah, one of those old fashioned unreconstructed geezer types like that oaf in Life On Mars. Hell, maybe backwards is the way forwards. Lets be honest, we all know that secretly all these career ladies are yearning for a life at home swaddled in domestic bliss. Who needs another power point presentation about Far East penetration when you could be at home being taken roughly over the coal scuttle whilst polishing the brass. Bring back Victorian values!

You certainly like to be controversial, don't you Mr Yard. ;-)

I suppose that the thing is - if a woman decides to elect for the power point presentation, she can still polish the brass whilst doing other things. If you were to select "domestic bliss" as you so eloquently put it, that would generally be the end of the career. I know which I'd rather...

I have heard tell that there might be certain entertaining ladies to be occassionally found down by the roundabout in the EDT. Some may be harder conquests than others though it would seem that a late snatch might be your best ploy as their resolve may well have weakened. (Parents take note on your duty to advise your wee apples as to the pitfalls of public intoxication.)

Alternatives are hosting a back to back viewing of "Sex in the City - Season 6" at the ED Warehouse or if you're more callous dressing up as Barny and loitering outside JoJo Maman Bebe.

Good luck, if you do succeed you may well be able to make a packet by marketing your methods to the legions of singletons struggling to lead a carefree existence in the stroller-jammed by-ways of ED. Should you fail you might find richer pickings in Hastings.

Oh, I don't know, Kalam... there's something about an old-fashioned hairy man that's rather taking.

I'm amused by the fact that this thread is in the 'East Dulwich' aka the Serious section of the Forum - after all, it is a local issue - but it's sister thread is in the Lounge.

    • I cannot speak highly enough about my experience with Yousef and his team for my recent house move in East Dulwich. Downsizing and relocating  my stuff from a house to a flat was made a calm and pleasant experience. The move included large and heavy items of furniture, taking items apart and reassembling in the new place, as well as loads of boxes. Nothing was too much trouble. I can thoroughly recommend this service, you will not be disappointed!

    • Just seen that a lease has been agreed for the Tile Giant site next to Toolstation at the Grove Tavern end of Lordship Lane. Does anyone have the inside scoop on who has taken the lease?
    • The GM's in Dulwich has been gone for around 3 years, so the most recent post must be about the Crystal Palace branch, I presume the same staff moved over? I've been going to Tash at Kuki for a while, never had a problem.
